Sure it's possible. If you think that's high you should see my friend's 2/5 wintrate

It simply doesn't make whole lot of logical sense for someone to absolutely destroy 1/2 over a large live sample size and remain in that stake.
It makes even less sense when said player lives in Vegas.
But ya...he plays for fun and doesn't want to deal with the pressure of higher stake. Got it.
I have a job, poker isn't my life and I don't depend on it....but I did put in 300 hours of 2/5, and will probably be more like 1000 hours of 2/5 this year. It can be tough playing higher stakes when you're shelling out $5-6k/month in expenses and trying to become debt-free at the same time. I spent way too much renovating my house and buying a nice car, finally done paying off the renovations and close to paying off the car. The $2/5 where I normally play (Red Rock) can also be a pretty tough game depending on which regs show up each day, meanwhile the $1/2 is a cakewalk and I can just relax and play on autopilot without thinking too hard. Who wants to sit in a deepstack game with 4 solid pros and some 70-year-old nits that play one hand an hour? There's usually one $2/5 table running, so no game selection there. Often plays closer to a $5/10 game because most of the pros are straddling every button and average stack size is around $1500 at night. Life is expensive, sorry if you don't like my bankroll uber-nittiness.
