Interesting to note that Hollywood HR has no jackpot drop in September and still offering promos:

THR?

THR?
God forbid they should spend any of their own money on player incentives or poker room promos...

Someone was gathering signatures on a petition in the poker room this afternoon that asked for better promotions. Not that anyone in management will read it or care.

THR?
They drop $2 for promos and given the promos they run, they should have plenty in there promo fund. While Hollywoods tournaments are far superior to anything Tampa runs,i cannot say the same for there cash games.I consistently find Tampa to be better in that department on many fronts.

Great news Scott. Since we give you all the grief for things we don't like, got to give you the kudos for the good stuff as well. I think this is a great decision.

Wait, is there some new version of April Fool's Day in September that I don't know about?!?!

If not, this is amazing!!!!! Scott if you are at all responsible for pushing for this change or even just voicing the opinions in this thread, then it is greatly appreciated!

Now to start the massive downswing that will undoubtably coincide with this change that I have been begging for for years

scott- since the 1/2 buy in is now what the 1/3 used to be, will you be making the comp rate for 1/2 $1.00/hr instead of the $.60 it is now? Seems like that would be fair.

I don't think 1/3 was ever $1/hr. That's for 2/5 and up

That's the only thing that makes sense. To resist increasing the buyin for 1/2 for so long even when people were asking it to be 100bb or even 75bb, then all of a sudden make it 150bb and raising the min buyin as well seems odd.

I'm guessing we will soon see a 40/100 1/1 game.

Does anyone have any insight as to if the 1/2 game is playing fairly deep. I'm hoping it's not just a table full of $60 buy ins.
