Its probably like 5% of all players that play at least once a month play 35+ hours/week.
25% play 15-34 hours/week, 30% play 6-14 hours/week and 40% play 5 or less hours/week.
Something close to this. The point being that 40% of all the players in there play 5 hours or less per week which is small amount of rake contribution.

The player pool is pretty huge for games under 2/5nl at HR but the majority come in and dump there $50 per week in 1 quick 2 hour session.

Isn't Silks the same as Tampa Bay Downs?

Are their 2-5 NL games comparable to Hard Rock?

Yea, you get my point though, the minority which play degen type hours do not pay "the majority of the rake", and really should not reap the rewards. Since we are talking specifically about jackpot drop, it is the same for all games. IE: 60% the omaha and stud game drops go to NL promotions like the freerolls...

I am down here at the HRH for their monthly Big Slick, which there is a juicy overlay from the $75K guarantee due to the WSOP-C, and they take $2 jackpot, so I guess we are not that bad off at THR. They do give away a lot with $1500 High Hands on the weekends and other stuff. I played in a juicy 2/5/10 game last night and must say they are really soft games. I felt like I was in Rounders and went to the Taj for the weekend if you know what I mean.

Anyone head out to the Rock from Orlando? I am looking for some cool guys to hang with and play cards with. Getting pretty sick of the hour long boring drive each way just to sit next to an overweight smelly guy who won't STFU. Anyways, PM if your interested in a car pool or just poker talk.

Cause you're bigballin and "160/night chopped 2 ways" is crumbs. And it's def not even that nice. Thought it was more expensive for sure, but I had comped rooms... free is ok

OK I am going to try and make a run at the $530 at least once this month, possibly twice.

Does anyone know structure of the tourney? Also, is it capped at a certain amount of players? And how many seats per tourney are they giving? A dealer told me 10, does that sound right?

Structure will be semi crappy for sure but a little better than the total freerolls where they take levels out.
Not capped, I figure around 80 or so will qualify each week + the people that buy in so maybe around 120 in tourney each week.
The flyer doesnt say how many for each 10k seat but its a $530 satty so should be every 20 players is another 10k seat added. This will be just for the 10k seat and no extra $2500 travel money.

Yeah I can imagine the structure is god awful. Only way I am playing is if I qualify. Ok so no spending money on this one? Got it. Thanks parisron.

The 3 Exit doors in the poker room with the lit up EXIT sign and no signs about fire exit, etc. That people have been going out of freely for weeks have now been alarmed and still no fire door signs. Classic.

Haha yeah I was there last night and noticed it, everyone of course yells at the person who came through the door.

It really is amazing what type of idiots put this place together without thinking of details like putting "Emergency Exit" on the actual emergency exit, LOL.

Just confirmed satty structure. 3k chips + optional $10 da for 1k. 20 min blinds and their standard tourney structure without taking out some levels like on the freerolls. So yea, crappy but for free wth.

Found out that if u win a 10k seat, u are done for the promos for the month. Even if u qualify each week, once u win a seat..u cannot play in another satellite. There is no selling extra seats or getting the cash value for a seat once u have earned one. Doesn't make much sense to me but then again it is tampa hard rock we r talking about.

If you win the $10k seat, can you sell it? Or will they offer a cash alternative? Or are you forced to play?

Yeah I was there yesterday and noticed they put alarms on the doors too. Alarm must have went off 10 times in the 6 hours I was there...everyone would clap and be like YEAHHHH NICE!! Kind of sucks that I have to make my way back to the front to get out now.

Was there any 2p2ers on table 30 from 2-8ish?

Where do I park my car for easy poker room access? I think many pages back someone said "South Garage" - if that's true, is it labeled clearly? Is it a new garage, or the one that's been there forever?

Its a long walk to the poker room no matter where you park. I prefer the south garage because the ramp design is much better than the original garage.

I prefer the walk in from the North, it has just a little less of the "Endless wasteland of slot machines" tone to it.
