Yeah it's going on, I was there from 10 (thought it might be busy to get a table before noon... it wasn't until about 11:30) until 2:30. And yes it is 1200 an hour high hand..... and I must brag a little here... I hit the first high hand of the hour, quad Aces.

They don't have up the tournament structures yet, but here are a couple from last year:

If that sheet (and the structure sheet for the circut events are true) the WSOP has the best tournament structures by far, bar none. If its 25/25 and moves up not skipping many, if any, levels, I will definitely be playing in the 555 event.

I played in 2 events at the WSOPc event at Palm Beack KC last year and they were hands down the best structured tournaments I have ever played in Florida. They didn't skip levels (hint 500-1000 and 5000-10000 like THR) and even had levels added early on, i.e 50-75...I was truly card dead in the 2nd tourney I played but lasted for over 10 hours and got within 15 spots of cashing due to some aggressive plays and the awesome structure that allowed for true deep stack play! At the later levels you did not have to play pushfest poker unless you were short stacked, THR should take notice for its next WPT series!

Games were great. I played 3/6 Omaha high low which was great for money management and seeing lots and lots of cards. I saw 10 tables 2/4 limit, 5 3/6 Omaha, 10 1/2 NL, a few 1/3, aboiut 8 2/5 i think.... Ron I know is there, or was when I left, he might be able to provide an update. Games looked real good.

the 1200 promo is def. working with double time. Usually mondays are super slow with only 2 2-5s going maybe 3, yesterday there were 5 or 6 going by 3pm with good action. i flopped quad 7s but someone already had a royal lol

Grrr.... you all make me want to come down there and play.
I'll try to squeeze in some time tomorrow I guess
How late do the games usually go? Are they drying up around 9?

It was busy until 11:15pm when I left after Quad K's was already on the board.
That was monday the slowest day. Today and beyond will be very busy. Its promo day in the casino with the hourly drawings and mercedes at 9:30pm.

I had one shot at high hand when I flopped a straight with a gut shot straight flush draw.
I checked flop and turn to not scare everyone off and blow my shot(I hate doing this)
It turned out that nobody had anything and I got action on the river card from 2 people that hit a pair so it worked out.

A guy at my table made Quad A's with 3 on the board but his kicker didn't beat the board. Then the very next hour he hits Quad A's again with 3 on the board and this time his kicker played.

btw, in the event nobody gets quads or better for the hour then it rolls over to next hour, making it $2400. I don't think it happened yesterday but I am sure there will be a couple times that will happen.

Just to double-check, are the Omaha Hi/Lo tables eligible for the $1200 high hands? Same qualifiers?

Omaha h/l and PLO qualifies. You have to use both cards in you hand just like HE but for quads you have to have a pair in your hand on Omaha and pair on board.
In HE you can have trips on board and one in hand as long as your kicker beats the board.

That's still a huge advantage for omaha players to hit it more often. Daytona has $500 high hand every half hour on Saturdays and they usually get ten tables of nitty old farts playing 1-2 limit, everybody throws in $2 to play the hand and they check it down to see if anyone can make anything. I'd say they catch 3/4 of the high hands promo $.

With the way they are doing it at THR, I assume that there's way more limit omaha going on and tons of straight $2 all over the place.

I like hh promotions because in NLHE low limit games every time you are on the button just raise 5 X BB with atc and you almost always take it down. They glare at you for not participating in the conspiracy, but what idiots for not bothering to figure out how the rake is absolutely destroying them.

You swipe your players card at one of the kiosks in the casino not THR poker room and you'll be entered for that day.

You get additional entries based on your slot play.

These jackpot prizes are drawn and given away on the main casino floor. You can't hear the drawings in the poker room, so you'll miss them unless you go out to the main floor for each hour's drawing.

They always have it on several TV screens in the poker room each hour when they draw. But they do not announce so you have to remember to look at the TV in the poker room each hour.

Usually you will notice it because it comes up like 5 min. before each drawing and you can usually see a TV screen from your poker seat.

Each day you visit swipe your card to earn 1 entry for the month for whatever promos they have going. Yes, slot players get extra entries added but would you rather dump hundreds or thousands of $'s on slots for extra entries or just get your free entry each day. lol

Pure reason I went with LOE. Now I hit the high hand, but other than that we had one other quads hit 4s when aces were on the board, and that was it. Mind you Omaha sees more cards but double the cards are in play so the deck has less cards to help in the end. But more cards, more flops sue to it being limit, it has major advantages, but they are not the ultimate advantage.

Has that Gas Card promotion for January been confirmed? That's exactly the kind of promotion I hope for, 20 hours in four days. Wish they'd have that kind of loyalty promotion every month with that structure. =)
