Yes, he is a solid dealer.

I loved playing at that dealers table. For 30 minutes, you can count on not having mistakes that could cost you money. I used to tip him 100% more than the average dealer just because he did such a great job.

I never know what dealers or players you guys are talking about bc I just think I don't play enough.... But I do know the skinny guy that calls out the action and have complimented him as well, even pointed it out to a manager what a god job the guy was doing when some dooche called him some name for some ridiculous reason....yeah I remembered... He asked the BB if he wanted his option twice not realizing he had checked and the guy called the dealer an ******* and the dealer called the floor. BB obv tried to say dealer was out of line which was ridic so I chimed in.

Just saying, only way the dealers will get better is if you call them out on stuff. My biggest peeve is when players don't pay attention to action and limp or call incorrect amounts. I try to always say something, even if it makes me look like a douche.

The reason why dealers don't care is because most players don't care or will have the hush mouth at the table when it happens especially when they aren't in the hand.

Speak up and make them do their jobs correctly.

Jack, are the three super satellites the only ones you are going to offer for the ME or any events? I don't know about most but I work during the day and I'd love to try and satellite into any event, but with the 11am start times its nearly impossible.

Jack- why the uneven number of levels between breaks? For example, you play 4 levels (2 hours) then a 10 minute break; then play 2 levels (1 hour) then a break. But as the tournament goes on, you have a 5 level (2 1/2 hour) and a 6 level (3 hours) period without a break.

That seems like a long time to go without maybe having to take a piss! Especially if you're trying to drink water throughout the event. As the blinds get higher, seems like a break every 90-120 minutes seems appropriate. A player shouldn't have to miss hands as things get near the end just to whizz!

Another question to clarify--are the satellite tickets you buy refundable up to the start of the satellite? It says they are not transferable, and that they can't be refunded after the start. Just want to make sure if they in fact CAN be refunded prior to the start of the satellite.

Thanks.

got to hard rock at 10 am this morning and as i was walking to take a seat in the 2/5 game, the table explodes cause they just hit the bad beat for 222k. Flop Jh 7x 10h, turn 10x, river Qh, 1010 vs 89hh. They were 9 handed and table share was 7900. such a huge sigh but at least some fishy regs hit it and about time it was not at 2/4 limit. took like 4 hours to pay out so the fish couldn't leave and a lot of them gave several 100s back into the game before frolicking off with their winnings.

I second this post: 11 a.m. is way too early to play poker for most of us. Some people work days and others, such as myself, aren't able to play that early. (I didn't even get to bed yesterday until 8 a.m. because I was playing poker all night. I'm a total nightowl and can't change my sleep schedule in order to play at 11 a.m.)
You'll end up with many qualifying who are at a big disadvantage in the supersatellite if they can even play in it at all. :-(

Only having sattys at 11am is ridiculous... but mostly because recreational players work during the day (and the more recreational players in the tourneys the better for al of us)... not because poker players play poker all night.

The main problem is that they only have 50 tables and December is one of the busiest months of the year even without a WPT series. Thats why all events are 11am so tables will start busting by early afternoon when its starts to get very busy.

Hopefully with the new expansion they will have some extra space to add 20 tables or so in another area just for special events like this next time. But I wouldn't hold your breath.

lol, Just a good guess, I had never seen you before and you looked like a 2+2 type and you tried to sit with $200-$300.
Did you move to 2/5nl? How did you do?

Ron I totally understand your point on this however having 3 super satellites on 3 consecutive days all happening at 11 am doesnt really offer anyone who works during those days an opportunity to satellite into the main event. even if they offered the same 225 but didn't guarantee 10 players it's not like during the week they got all 50 tables going. or they could do something like derby is doing and have a tornament whete the prize pool is paid out in WPT chips. I can play the weekend tournaments I can't play the week day ones. I can play night during the week, not day ones. and I'm sure I'm not alone on this. hopefully this will be a change the next time it comes around.

You can tell by how much they are paying attention to the action, even when not in a hand and the level of interest in their eyes.
Also an iphone on the table and a hoodie doesn't hurt.

When you are used to seeing pure donks in the 1/2nl game day after day its pretty easy to spot when a 2+2 type sits down.

I waited for 2/5 for a bit but then ended up just going home. Not a good mindset to start a session with being upset that they misinformed me and got me to come out there. I'll take my play back to the hr when the 1/2 and 1/3 player pools are combined..

What seat were you? funny that you knew i was 2+2 right away

Seat 8 or 9 I can't remember which. I had the Free HR hoodie on just like yours. lol
btw, when I mention hoodies I don't necessarily mean having the hoodie up on your head. I only do that when the air is really cold at hard rock and blowing down my neck.

And whoever said that having a hoodie/jacket on is over the top unless winter, must not play much at HR. I always put mine on when I get there and less than 10% of the time do I need to take it off because its too hot.

I know exactly who you're referring to. He normally starts his shift around 9 or so. Keeps the action going swiftly, always knows what's going on, and enforces the rules. Without a doubt the best dealer in the room.
