Scooping 3 kill pots in a row is a sweet feeling. Especially when the middle one was a bluff (yes, on a 3/6 FLO8 table) and you show then get lucky as hell when forced to play 279Q (on account of the kill) flop trips, avoid a low and get two streets of value. Board was K776K so I couldn't bet the river but I got a flop and turn bet out of three players. Lol@image in a low limit FLO8 game.

4 ducks, I was right next to you in seat 3. We did have a damn good table. Wish I got the same results as you though. It's tough to beat guys like seat 5 who take it down with 2468 after a PF raise, right?

Hahahaha. You have your phone off 99% of the time in the morning! Lol, good to shoot the **** with ya bit, though. Can't wait to finally meet ya.

BTW, how about my girlfriend got kicked out of the poker room today? Lololol. The dealer accidentally burned an extra card that resulted in a card that should have been burned coming out and giving another player a higher full house. It was pointed out at showdown that there were four burn cards. Supervisor said the hand stands as played, pretty much exactly like that without any elaboration. She got kind of pissed after he left. I explained to her that it was because the extra burn was done before the turn and significant action had occurred since then (they got to showdown) and she kind of understood but was still kind of pissed the supervisor was so curt and dismissive of her questions.

Anyhow, fast forward an hour or two, we go to get some lunch and while walking through the casino, walk passed the supervisor that made the ruling. She makes some comment like, "****ing bull**** ruling," or something to that effect. Then I notice him over her shoulder a minute later. She didn't see him, but I lead us through some slots to the stairwell that leads to the buffet/sushi restaurant. He appears again to cut us off before we get to the stairs and simply says, "She's not allowed back in the poker room today." When we ask why all he says is, "I heard what you said."

When we went to talk to the shift manager about it, he sided with the supervisor after being misinformed (by said supervisor, naturally) of my girlfriend making a big scene about it at the table, bringing it up a second time when he had to come to the table 'cause someone hit a royal flush (neither of these two incidences occurred) and a third time outside in the slot area. She was pretty tilted, so I didn't really want to argue, I figured it was a good idea to leave, too. She was pissed on the ride home, though. I think she's gonna end up making a 2+2 account to bitch about it. I guess I kinda stole her thunder (sorry if/when you read this, dear).

Oh, well. I was kinda pissed 'cause the game was pretty juicy.

lol. i get there friday night around 745 and swipe my card and see i have 4.07 hours to go to get the 150$ card so basically i gotta play til midnight and not get up for no breaks, which i was more than willing to do. so im jus chillin on the 1/2 table for a few hours. im down to $65 or so, i see AA, this guy who raises 7 or 8 every other hand did it again, i just instashove, and this one genius calls with 44 (i guess he hadnt realized i hadnt played a hand in an hour) plus the original raiser calls so im thinkin im bout to triple up.

board comes 578, 2 hearts. the og raiser bets a nice chunk of change but 44 aint goin nowhere (hes a genius remember), turn K of hearts, there is now 3 hearts on board, I have A of hearts. og raiser shoves for about another 100 and i knew he is bluffing kuz i seen him pull this same **** earlier. the genius instacalls and quickly flips over 44 like its good or something. i just start crackin up laughing and slam down my AA, other dude never showed. river 6, not a heart. apparently there was no doubt whatsoever in genius's mind at any point in the hand that 44 was beat.

i reach into my pocket to buy in again kuz its 11pm i still need another hour and i realize i left my wallet and money in my car and this dealer aint bout to leave me in the system without havin my number flashin so im screwed and i came bout an hour away from the 125$ gift card. ur boy was blowed! mad at the world , didnt even feel like doin nothin else the rest of the night.

Man, that sucksss!! We were talking about that at my table yesterday as a hypothetical, too! Like, what if you had already hit your max withdrawal from the ATM that day and busted, etc, etc. Man, I would have been begging someone to just lend me $20 and go sit at the stud table and not play a single hand. That's so gross, bro, sorry to hear that happened to you. I'm gonna ship you my number via PM, I was there that night, too, wish I would have known, I woulda helped you out.

In other news: I totally bricked for eight hours playing FLO8 yesterday. At Least I got some hours in. I only lost $150, which I think isn't bad for whiffing 99% of flops the whole day.

My friend was at the table that hit he 100k bad beat yesterday. He was just at the table but they were shorthanded and he won $3800. Pretty sweet.

MIKE! Three days, my man, three days!! Super excited!!

Probably gonna head out tonight, I'll let you guys know if I do. GL at the tables.

I will be at the Hard Rock Casino Wednesday and Thursday pretty much all day and night. This will be my first trip to Tampa for poker. What are the odds that there will be a PLO game going during that time? Also, what are the minimum and maximum buying for the various levels of PLO there?

Thanks in advance!! See you later this week.

very slim chance of PLO, usually only on weekends - when you get there start an interest list if there isn't already one and there's always a chance you can get one running.

Yeah it was decent - we were actually switching in a round of PLO Hi/lo every so often which was cool.

Anyhow, once I get back up to around $600 I'll go back to short buying 1/2 for $60. All it takes is time.

Talk about a sure way to never be able to overcome the rake!! LOL

I normally play 1/3 or 2/5 there. Played some 1/2 Saturday evening at a couple of tables. The players were just awful. I saw one fellow raise to $7 with AA, bet every street for $7, and get called down by 9 high the whole way. One fellow proudly flipped up four to a flush --- after the river had been dealt. Another guy, on the button, didn't raise with AA and just kept betting $2 on every turn. He held up after having flopped a set -- again, $2 on every street.

I thought I had entered the poker twilight zone. Thing is, after having won some "monster" $20 pots, I found myself only slightly ahead due almost entirely to rake and tip.

I think that at that level, with that rake, you have to be at a table where there is going to be some action. That's just an inevitable mathematical fact. No matter how bad they are, no matter how many mistakes they make, if no one will put any $ in the pot, you can't make it a long term winning proposition.

1/2 is most certainly beatable. If you don't think it was based on your single experience, you're silly.

I'm not saying its not beatable. But, I am saying your hourly I would expect would be ultra low there. At least at THR.

Granted, its one series of play. But, I see the list there on the weekends to get into that game and pass by the tables with at least 5 players having under $50 in front of them and don't see how you can book decent wins over time given the rake.

No need to be hostile.

I'm really complaining more about the buy ins. Wish it were min 100/max 200. Don't you?

Just got back. Losing days suck.
Saturday and Sunday broke off a modest 100 each day, was pretty happy about it. Dropped 130 today playing like total garbage with the two toughest players to my left. Was down more and recouped instead of trying to get it all back, but the drive back to Orlando sure was a hell of a lot longer. At least I got the hours put in :|

Don't sweat it, bro. How long did you play? If you got any kind of meaningful chuck of your hours worked off, $130 isn't bad if today just wasn't your day. Just learn from your mistakes and play better next time. Remember: All sunshine makes a desert.

On a side note: Yay for shot taking 100NL HU when I spot a fish! +$80 to the roll online. Now I'm $120 away from being able to cash out, though I'm not sure If I should cash out right at $500. The money would be nice to play with but I really wouldn't mind grinding it out to 1kish online since my site is so soft. The only problem is the lack of players. I also get no rakeback, which kind of sucks. I know I'd have at least $100 in the past three weeks from all the HU action I've put in. That'd basically put me at my $500 minimum required to cash out! Ah, well, back to the grind...
