I pre registered for the 500k tourney in the fall open. Will the tourney still go on? I heard ac was hit really hard!

I read somewhere the Casino plans to re-open around Friday. I would assume this means nothing will effect the Fall Open. I have a room booked for this Tuesday-Thursday and still plan to come down.

i'm sure they are all working like crazy. maybe stan can make a post once they figure out when they'll be able to get rolling again. i had a reservation for tonight, thursday and friday and received an email changing the reservation to thursday and friday only. not sure if i'll even be able to get down there tomorrow but I'll keep everyone posted if I make the trip.

will be making my first trip down since last year on black friday....played the 300 re-entry last year, bubbled when my AA<AK. I was disappointed with the amount of entries (approx 150ish) in previous years I'd seen as many as 400-500 players. I am guessing the turnout will be probably about the same as last year, I guess too many competing rooms running special tourneys that day (PA rooms, Foxwoods etc)?

Good news on the reopen front. Looks like AC will reopen tomorrow morning. The question is, how long will it take Borgata to get online? Ave to decide whether to head to AC or Sands tomorrow.

Borgata says they're planning to open Saturday. I'm gonna hit Sands tomorrow and try to make it to Borg for Saturday. Anyone know if there's a bus from sands to AC? If you're planning to drive from Bethlehem to AC tomorrow or Saturday morning and wouldn't mind a passenger, shoot me a pm. Gas on me.

I got an email cancelling my reservation for today (but not for tomorrow). I suppose they are doing a partial opening for players but not hotel guests then? I guess that makes sense since Im sure it takes more manpower to run the hotel services than just the casino floor.

I think all of that is up in the air, as some of the traditional cheap options may have been damaged by the storm. If I were you I'd play it by ear and repost a week or two before you come out, to see what is reopened and what rates are available.

I canceled my reservation because you can't get gas in NYC right now. If you do find a station, you may have to wait hours on end.

How's the gas situation around AC? Let's say by chance, I'm lucky enough to find some gas in NYC, will it be a mission just to find enough to get home?

I would give them a call to confirm that it was cancelled for today. Their website is saying:

I had to call them and they re-instated my cancelled room. I suggest everyone who got the same cancellation email do the same.

I'm just south of 195 and there a a couple of open stations around.

News was saying North of 195 had 25% open stations, South 90% open.

Naturally, I make no promises about what you will find on the GSP or in AC.

Lines get shorter the more South you go, idk about gas in the actually city.

It doesn't seem like every food option is open here right now but the poker room is open and has a decent amount of tables going.
