not often, however, the players in this game were all regulars in a day game at a nearby casino, and I would argue this group is worth reaching out to, because they are dependable regulars looking for a home, and will be somewhere in the area looking for a low limit omaha game even after the tournament players leave...there is a potential daily game here, given the right conditions...

Well I'm in the building right now and there are 3 names on an interest list for it, including mine. If any of your regs have seen me play Omaha before, they should RUN over to the Borg before I leave

I'm stunned that Borgata cannot get a mixed game of any sort in the 4/8 - 10/20 range.
What's even more stunning is that there's no O8 game below 10/20 either...

Just curious as too why a dog is permitted to sit on the lap of a seated cash game player? Cute dog though.

The dog has the required state credentials to be in the casino.

A common misconception of people is that the only type of "service animal" is a guide dog for a blind person.

People with certain medical issues use them as well.

That indeed is correct. Some people suffer from seizures and have service animals

...there a a group of players who play 5-10 omaha h/l, who I saw playing 4-8 omaha at borgata a few days ago, with mountains of white chips. Some of these players are now playing 10-20 omaha at Borgata, some are playing 2-4 omaha, a significant number appear to not have issues playing here or there, so it is really a question of recruiting them for a regular game. The ones I saw a few days play 10am to 5pm, though there is a second similar group that plays after dark. I think with a little work, this first group is up for grabs...if you had a good promotion for month or more for 4-8 or 5-10 omaha, that might be enough to get a regular game started...and that would open the door for low limit mixed games as well...

How many times do you think this question has been asked in this thread?

(Oh, and the answer is PLAY, there is not poker rate, but poker room tied into Borgata comp system)
If you make one that looks something like the others that have been made for Tampa Hard Rock, Foxwoods, etc., I'd be happy to add it to the first post of the thread when you PM it to me.

I feel your pain. In 2010 a few of us 2+2'ers started a 4/8 HOSE game, which lasted about 4 or 5 weekends. Then we tried pink chip stud 8, which I think went on three Saturdays in a row.

You're right, it's absolutely exhausting trying to get a mixed game going.
Would still love to play also...

Thanks for the info. I'm more interested in a mixed game, but would definitely play 4/8 or 5/10 O8.

A lot of the players who were regs/semi-regs in the 5-10 L08 that used to run at Taj regularly have since transferred their business to Parx (which has 6-12 OE) and elsewhere. I would like to see the game resurrected here, but there isn’t a critical mass of remaining players to make it a staple game. A few have transitioned (or have tried) to the 10-20, while many others have declined, either from intimidation or lack of interest.

Regarding low-limit mixed games, I’ve often started lists but I almost have never seen more than 1-2 other people join me on them. Based on talking with others and my own observations, there are 2 basic issues: 1) the typical recreational/semi-reg player doesn’t like split-pot or lower-limit games (at least not without a BBJ-feature attached), and 2) it’s hard getting enough people to agree on terms (games to include/limits). I’d definitely like to try games like 2-7 triple draw and badugi. But I’m not going to play in a small ring game with semi-pros for 20/40+.

Seeing how the promotions have gone for newly added games like razz and pineapple, I don’t think there’s enough demand for variant games, outside the "Big 3".

I've been at the B almost every day all summer; probably moving away in about a month, but I'll still be there almost every day until then, and always thrilled to play a pink chip mix (would also love straight stud 8, that's my favorite game).

I think you are wrong on both counts. I think there remains a critical mass of players, I have seen a revival of both the 5-10 omaha and 4-8 omaha as well as players who play 2-4, 10-20, and 15-30, who will also play in a 4-8 or 5-10 omaha game...there is a big difference between a pineapple/razz promotion and an omaha promotion, as the database of active omaha players who will and do play in AC remains huge...

Regarding the mixed games...I realize that is a pipe dream. There are many factors why, and everyone made really valid points.

As far as Omaha games go...I do realize that the ol' 5/10 Taj regs are now playing 6/12 OE at Parx. But, I'm pretty sure that there's enough players for a 5/10 or 4/8 game on a Saturday...no ?

are there any repercussions if you were to book a comped room and end up having to cancel --- lets assume the cancellation is a few days ahead of time.

Does this affect future comps? Are any cancellation fees charged?
