Does anyone know if Borgata is going to be having another of those $1500 deep stack tournaments between now and the spring open? I see the $350+50, and they usually ran those along with a $1500 double play deep stack.

PF raise to $20-$30 is about right. $20 is probably a little light, although there'll always be an ebb & flow to the table. Sometimes $35 will get you 4 callers, other times $25 will clear everyone out of the hand.

re: your comment on everyone playing deeper stacked keep in mind the max BI is only $500. Best case scenario is if you can sit down at a new 2/5 table once it opens up, everyone has $500 or less and none of the fish have been felted off that particular table yet.

Was down the last two days and started a PLO / PLO 8 or better 1-2 mix game and it was one of the best times I've ever had down there. I think this game should be started more often!

How many runners usually for the $100 11pm Friday?

Also how many hours of 1/2 would normally get your free weekday room offers? i know its pretty easy at Harrahs as a bunch of my buddies got it for only playing roulette a couple times worth about $150

Coming up for the weekend again, I got a question though I guess I can ask in here.

Might try some limit holdem for the first time since I was like 12, what's the equivalent limit game to a 5/10 no limit game? My guess would be 30/60 or 40/80 but really am clueless to limit. Whats the usual buy in at limit games for those stakes?

no 30/60 ever at the borg. You'll be looking at 40/80 limit where the buy for the table is usually $2k with the occassional $3k and $1k buy ins.

haha, good call, I never thought about that. Maybe ill play 1/2 and listen for a new 2/5 table being called.

And yeah, if the PF raise size is 25 instead of 15, and the buyin is 500 instead of 300, then I suppose its about equally as deep stacked in relation to the PFR size, but it isnt actually a 150% jump as the blinds imply, its more like a 67% jump.

Some combination of BOTERQ, with the TOE games being near-100% part of the mix.

Any info on the 20-40 limit? 1 table? 2... 3 tables? How's the shark/fish ratio? Are most of the better players in the 40+ and not the 20?

I'm taking the 6pm bus from NYC. Should be checked in to my room (comp'd at the Fiore Suite) and seated at the table no later than 9:30. I've been smashing that game lately! Pretty soft on Fridays and Saturdays.

Thanks!

So I heard that Borgata is doing better poker player comps? I usually play at Harrah's but they're not giving me free weekday rooms. Should I make the switch? I really just want a free room and usually play 1/2.

Ive been slowly ramping up the amount I play per day (takes a while to get used to the long grinds), so I play more now, but I was getting free sunday-thursday rooms even after my first few trips where I only played ~5 hours per day I was up there (and I live a few hours away, so I only head up there every few months).

If you play poker, and book at least somewhat in advance, you will get comped weekday rooms, and even occasional comped weekend rooms (although most weekends I gotta pay for saturday, and pay some reduced rate for friday depending on when im going up).

I played exclusively 1/2, and I got all of next weekend comped on a holiday weekend. Not to mention im sure the games are much better, the dealers are much better, the rooms are much better... I really cant say enough about the borgata.

If you have a diamond card at Harrah's, Borgata will give you their higher card automatically.

Borgata was abuzz today because the bad beat is $492k and there was a hand where 10-10 and A-A both got quads, but it was a 10/25 NL game and not eligible for the bad beat.
