If you post your big but miss your small blind, when you come back is your SB dead at borgata?

This springs from another thread, i'm 99% sure it's dead but a regular poster seems to think otherwise.

Like dipce said, yes. Depending on how much you play, you may even get some Fridays. Saturdays are probably not in the picture, but you can get a real affordable rate.

I am a 1/2 player, and I got this Friday for free, and Saturday for $129. Key is to book way in advance.

This isn't a bad idea. I believe Sands in PA is set up where you can swipe your card when you go on the list and it will send you a text when your seat is available in case you are not in the poker room at the moment.

Hollywood Casino at Penn National in PA gives you the option at the podium to recieve a text when your seat is available. It's a great feature if you don't like standing around watching the waiting list slowly shrink.

Any idea when the website will be online again so I can check room comps to schedule trips?

Does anyone else have as much trouble with the Borgata parking comp as i do?

I've been a 5x a week regular since May and some months I will receive once a day comped parking and others it will disappear.

I've played about 30 hrs of 2/5 so far in oct (read: $300 in rake) and still dont have comped parking this month. Very frustrating since i visit so frequently and the parking adds up.

Anyone know if theres something special i can do to make it come back?

I just give them my card. Even if they don't send me the comp, it always seams to be on the card.

Played here Saturday and Sunday both times in the 10/20 O8 game. Was a good game, lots of action and two super fish at the table paying off everyone with speed. Only complaint I had was we had 3 players point out the red deck had what appeared to be nail marks in them and one was bent. A fourth complaint came up that the one card had an actual tear in upper corner. Dealer complained to floor guy and he was super resistant to get a new deck out. He said it was from the shuffler machine. Myself and one other player said we would not play unless he got a new red deck and he finally got one after much argument.

Is this standard of the floor there? The dealer was a gentleman and took our side but the floor guy was beyond upset to get a new deck even after 4 different people complained... I also noticed on Bravo they had two 15/30 O8 games on Monday and no 10/20. Were the 15/30 any kill or just straight? Is that the new standard game now? Hopefully so, that is a nice limit.

do they use KEM cards for the 10/20 O8 game or Gemacos? Usually replacing defective cards that challenge the integrity of the game is easier, even effortless, but I have also at times had trouble getting the dealer to take the matter seriously. It is not uncommon to play with a 'marked' deck. In the 1-2 NL games I play, I don't think the 70+ year old players have vision that good and the younger players are so bad and so eager to throw all their money in the pot with any two cards, I don't usually give it a second thought, - much more interesting, I suppose, would be to canvas the higher limit players, where I strongly suspect these sorts of problems crop up to begin with...

ive never had a problem getting the dealer/Floor to either replace the card or to bring in a new deck. maybe you just came across one of the lazy ones. they're there.

Kems are in high limit area..gemacos on main floor. 08 seems to stay out on main floor whether 10/20 or 15/30. Thus ****ty gemacos. Cant bend em..brutal choice for o8. Oddly the resistence seems to come from the regs who prefer to play out in them main area. The game would be better served in back , kems and free redbulls ! Lol

Id image it was straight 15/30. Sometimes taj has 15/30/45 o8 but not often. Better to stay@ borgata. Always something to play if o8 isnt going.

As a fellow L.I.'er, I will tell you that if you play cash, check your account on line. You may find you get some room comps, which make the drive much better and more worth it.
I usually don't go to AC unless I hop in with a group of friends that are going down for a night/weekend to party. For my poker needs, Mohegan and Foxwoods are closer and I usually do the day or overnight ferry trips so I don't have to shell out $ for rooms. But the Borgata blows both CT poker rooms out of the water and I will be checking for possible comped rooms for sure. I definitely will think twice about going back to CT.

PLO wasn't running sunday night. there were 2 O8 games though.

this has probably been answered a bunch in thread but i can't find it anywhere. what's best use for the poker reward dollars? i have a ton but everywhere 2:1 exchange rate. afaik buffet is only place where it's 1:1 but im not going to eat there 30x.

can you use them at table games at 1:1? at least then your EV will be better than a 2:1 exchange rate.

I think the ONLY place you get .50 on the dollar comps is downstairs in the cafeteria. Pretty sure every restaurant on the casino floor is 1/1.

the cafeteria/food court is .50 on the dollar as well as all the retail shops, the gift shops and Starbucks. but like you mentioned, all the other restaurants are even money. Bread& Butter has real good pastries and is also 1/1.

djz... imo, the only real value for your points is one of the fine dining places (Isakya would be my pick esp. on mondays). the retail shops are so overpriced to begin with so paying double on top of that is a real waste of your points unless u really have to have it. if you have tons of points and you or someone you know happens to like good wine, theres a nice wine store in the Waterclub section of the hotel, but again, everything is very jacked up. i would look for a cool pair of sunglasses and wouldnt mind using up a bunch of points. just rattling things off..
