Pretty sure it's only for a stud game.

The thing is though, the ATM is right there. I mean if a fish really needs to go to some other ATM/money source, they're gonna be back within 30 minutes. I've seen the walk around for an hour, come back for an orbit, walk around for an hour more often done by old nits/regs than fish imo.

I want a full game if there's a list.

the walking around **** is usually a nit reg waiting for the game to juice up ime. although the better thing to do imo would be to just move down if you think your limits game sucks but these live pros have egos

here for the open btw. should be fun maybe I'll get in another shot at a big game but at the same time i feel like a soft 10 20 or 10 25 will be better than a 25 50 at the same time because if the 25 50 gets going it would prob be during peak(soft)hours

I was there all weekend. On Saturday night they announced a 50-100 NL game with a $30,000 minimum buy-in...and said it was a go. Forgot to walk over to see how the action was...as I wanted to watch a few hands. I was too busy trying to get even in a 2-5 game.

Also, finally met Stan earlier on Saturday....as I was sweating my brother in day 2 of the $700 + $70. It was cool to speak with the Ruler.

Wow, I was wrong already. I wonder if we are actually on to something or if this is just due to the BWO.

it would certainly be nice if this game would become an everyday occurance. i can only hope. guess we have to wait a little while for the final verdict.

I still have hopes, but as I was sitting in the 7 seat, my three tablemates to my left were all complaining about how stupid it was to use pink chips to play. They ended up understanding there were some benefits, but I don't think they switched their stance.

What exactly are the benefits, other than making the pot "look" bigger? You still have to have white chips in play for the rake and BBJP.

Playing a 1 chip - 2 chip limit game just isn't fun...and yes, it does make the pot "look" bigger.

Does a 1 chip 2 chip limit game even exist anywhere?

10-20 is a 2-4 chip game....with reds.

This is a 2-4 chip game....with pinks.....Same thing.

All (or most) limit games are played with a 2-4, 3-6, 4-8 (chip) structure for a reason.

1-2 limit games just aren't attractive.

This game DEF has to stay as a pink chip game.

Think Tab mentioned somewhere that they proposed 2-7 TD and Razz to the commission and expected a response shortly. I would have liked for them to propose buying the button but he didn't reference it.

Saying is "isn't fun" is kind of begging the question.
Apparently, half the people in the pink chip game didn't think it was fun.
And most limit games in AC aren't played with any "chip structure"....they are played with mostly red chips regardless of the limit.
I agree that this is less than ideal, and that limit games should generally be played with a single denomination so that change doesn't have to be made constantly....but fetishizing some particular structure as always seemed strange to me (and 4-8 structures are much more annoying than fun...it is tedious to have to count out 16 chips for a raise).

I'm interested in playing a 5/10 LHE game. Unfortunately, I couldn't make it last weekend. I'm going to try to get some stuff done during the week this week to clear up my Saturday this weekend. But I just saw an early prediction of "up to" 12 inches of snow on Fri/Sat, and I wouldn't make the drive in that. Let's hope the forecaster is wrong (what are the odds of that???). So I'm definitely a maybe for this weekend.

If I am there this weekend, I'll play the 5/10, but I REALLY don't care what color the chips are. I will bet, call, raise, and fold, just as I would any other LHE game. If you want me to put in either 1 chip or 2 chips to call, it really doesn't matter.

- 1 chip to call would be faster (by a fraction of a second)
- 2 chips would make the pot look bigger ... but they aren't. If that brings in more players, then good.
- 2 chips would also make all the stacks look larger, if that scares players away, then bad.

I'm curious if the 5/10 will go again today. So I guess I'll ask ...
Stan - can I get a game report this evening.

Counting out 16 BORGATA chips is torture.

If you're counting them one at a time, you're doing it the slow way.

If you're picking up ten or twelve in a stack, cutting five onto the table, five more, five more, and one more, it's a bit quicker.

And if you spend more time practicing shuffling chips than knowing how to cut chips into the correct bet amount, your priorities are out of order.

Yes but what I meant was that over the course of a session having to cut Borgata chips out in a 4/8 chip limit game is beyond what I can tolerate. This is the main reason I do not play LHE at B. I just can't do it...lol

I do not think they understood that the pink chips were probably the only reason the game got going. Could not find a 5/10 game in the city for a couple of years now, but we attempt it with pink chips and it is going on a Monday evening of all times.

Yeah, 8 pink chips to call a raise on the turn/river is probably a little annoying to some, but it is fun. The older nits would/will always give me a nasty look when I came to a 3/6 table with a rack or two of whites and no reds.

I'm surprised I haven't heard this mentioned more often. I see people all the time sitting in the 20/40 game with enormous pyramids of $4000 all in red chips. It may be fun for them to have this huge a stack, and obviously is confers no strategic advantage. But I have to think it would be intimidating to recreational players who want to think they have a fighting chance buying in for one rack.
