I was told by a little birdie, before attempting to sit in on the 2/5 plo game, that it was populated by several 10/25 nl players, which would account for the large stacks and sick action. I did see a potted river bet with pure air - totally sick bluff.

Are you talking about last night or Monday night? I heard a 2-5 PLO game sprouted up last night/early this morning too. At 3:30am there was like 20K+ on the table?

yes....no....maybe?

Damn I can't wait to get there Saturday.

I should be heading down to the borg this weekend.. can anyone report how things have been in the 20/40 games?

Also, I'd be down to play some pink chip games as well if anyone wants to PM me. it'd be good to get some faces to the names around here.

I'm in Philadelphia for the week and wanted to head down to the Borgata a couple nights. How are the games generally on Wednesdays and Thursdays? I play a range (1/2-5/10nl) depending on how much cash I have on hand.

the 1-2 and 2-5 games are always great. The good thing is, if you hate your table, there will be 10 other 1-2's and 6 other 2-5's (at least) to move to. I can't speak to 5-10. I've only played that at Bellagio.

Wednesday is a good day because they have an 11am tourney that draws ~300 players. As they bust they feed the cash game tables. You'll be fine on Thursday as well.

The daily game selection is unparalleled. Head down....have fun...and good luck.

It's ridiculous. I had one of my worst losing sessions ever last week and all I can think about is what is a good snack to eat on my long drive back to the borgata this weekend

I really am starting to love that place more and more. Hope everyone here appreciates the work Stan does for us as I know I do.

One day we should all start chanting stan stan stan stan stan. needs to be co-ordinated and not corny but it has potential

Don't know how you'll achieve "not corny", but it definitely has potential.

Ugh... It's a toss-up between LHE only and HO for me. I'd rather not play any of the Stud games - they usually end up causing "issues" and breaking the game. Plus, straight Stud is like watching paint dry I'd definitely walk/eat on that down.

I kind of feel the same way about stud. Stud Hi is def NOT fun.

I'd settle on HO for sure.

So I just turned 21 and was thinking about heading down to AC for the day. Borgata was where I planned to checkout first. Anyone have any advice for a first timer? Like how/where to get a comp card and stuff like that? Obv I've played plenty of live poker, just never in a legit casino before.

Best advice I can give you.... Park in the surface lot all the way in the back. After you get out of the tunnel on the expressway its the second exit. Once on the exit, keep to the right. Pull into the surface lot and park there... poker room is inside on the left after the racebook.

To get a card hand your license to the lady behind the counter on the right of the entrance. She will get you a card much more quickly than if you did it in the main cardmembers area in the hotel/casino.

On that same counter to her left is the low-limit brush. See him/her to get in a game. When you sit down just give your card to the floorman. Don't forget to swipe your card out with the floorman when you're done playing or you won't earn any comps.

First buy-in for the game is at the cage which is opposite the card-counter on the left of the entrance. You buy in increments of 20 chips.

Feel free to go to the bathroom and leave your chips on the table. If the bad beat jackpot hits while you're in there, convince the players to cut you in because it never would have been dealt the same if you didn't lobby.

good luck!

Alrighty then! I have just spent the better part of two hours trying to figure out where you guys hide the PM button. Seems I should have gone to FAQ first. Apparently I have to be on 2+2 for a while in order to receive that PM option.

Somone told me at a poker room (Harrah's) down the street from the Borgata over the weekend, that if I needed a poker room rate, and Mabel was off, that coming here and PM'ing Stan was a great option. Apparently they didn't know about the 3 drink minimum on 2+2...lol.

I generally play 2-5 in Vegas. Will also dable in HORSE and any form of Omaha. From Richmond VA its frankly been cheaper to fly to Vegas the past 2years, than it is to drive my car to AC, although I have played plenty at the Borgata over this time frame.

Not sure how to contact Stan, between now and when I earn my fancy PM button. I sure prefer the hell out of the Borgata over Harrah's though! Played Borgata this past weekend on Thursday and Sunday, played Harrah's on Friday and Saturday. I always play where I stay and generally log 12-16 hour sessions.

Can I get wifi inside the Borgata or anywhere else?

Yes, WIFI is available in the "foyer/library" looking area leading to the room elevators. There are lots of sofas, chairs and tables available. Connection is great and does not require any password. I suspect that if you stood in the hallway outside of this area on the other side of the glass walls, the WIFI would work as well although I have never tried that.
