It depends if 10/25 is the biggest game that night (usually so) or if there is 25/50 running (rare except tourney times)

Not that many people short stacking for 2500-5K range, most will be $5k plus. With 2-3 10K+ and 1-2 20K+.

Lots of Pumpkins and Flags on the table though

Are $5k chips in Atlantic City still called "flags"? I thought this was specific to the Bellagio color scheme....$5k chips in AC are grey.

Is 1-2 PLO becoming a mainstay, or is it just a tournament bump?

Thanks for the link, and the info. $100 + $20 + $20 for a tourny? That's a lot of overhead! I'll pass - but it does sound like fun.

One thing's for sure - anyone who says that poker players are full of hot air is WRONG!

Otherwise, the Borgata wouldn't be so cold right now.

A whole new definition of "running cold". Playing without heat in the winter.....

The $20 registration fee is not part of the juice, it covers overhead and goodies that are distributed (tee-shirts, sweat-shirts, hats, lammers, etc.)

-ARGE-ers are well known for taking care of the dealers. We want to make sure that they get paid well, for putting up with our antics

In the -ARGE cash games, when a new dealer comes into the box, they are always greeted with a hail of chips... we make it rain!

One year at BARGE (the Vegas event), after making the rota around 5 -ARGE tables, a dealer said that she received over $300 in tokes. Needless to say, when she announced this, thanking us all... we threw even more money at her

That's just how we roll!

The tournaments are more for bragging rights and fun - no one ever got rich playing in an -ARGE event. That's not the point. But, our events are the most fun you can have in a casino. Well, within legal reason Leave your EV at home and come light some money on fire!!!

The side games are off the hook. The Pink Chip Game was originated by -ARGE. It's commonly played with a straddle and re-straddle. Capped before and on the flop, at least 9 ways. Normal buy in is 4 racks. It's not uncommon to see people with $500-$700 in pink to start. Only the pussies look at their cards before the flop. Real gamb00lers wait until the turn. Bring lot's of money - and take the board out of your ass. It helps to be drunk The local's love us - until we put them on tilt.

The Borg would love us

Irritating thing is when you cash a grey chip they automatically log it with your players card...

But yes I tend to just call most $5k denom chips flags (even though this did originate from the Bellagio) and I've seen cranberries at the B, but do not recall seeing them at the Borgata

I always head over to The Borgata after the ARGE tourneys to play cash...no need to play a room (Taj) with 100 EXTRA competent players in it.

BUT, I plan to stay around this year and try to get some Pink HOSE or PLO going. I suck at LHE so there's no way I'm playing straight Pink - HE with you sickos.

Any chance of either of those going?
