Thanks
The second table is always a must move, and there's usually at least 2 tables going on weekends.

Time pots only happen when someone suggests it, and only a couple of regulars actually are willing to run them (TNT usually). So don't worry about that.

Another 10/20 LHE question. What's typical tipping?

What would you estimate is the average pot size in 20/40 vs. the NL game? And, therefore, the rake structure effects?

I play neither, so I don't know enough to answer my own question.

There is a 30 hour minimum in the 10-20, 20-40, and 40-80 games to receive the 2X comps. The stud is straight up 2X comps with no minimum hours to play.

Both are time charge games, so this doesn't really matter. 20-40 is the higher time charge ($7) vs 5-10 NL ($6).

Hey, folks. Long time no post and no visit. Since my last Borgata visit on Friday, September 10th, I've been on the DL to recover after a string of losing streaks this past summer. But of course I had fun and Stan and the casino were great as always.

Now with a change of focus and direction, my best friend and I are finally coming back for a Monday Night stay. We'll play either a 1-2 NLHE cash game or a Tuesday Morning 11 AM tournament. At the same time, knowing that I'll probably not make the remaining $350-some comps to renew my Black-Label card by January 2, 2011, we'll hit the Amphora Lounge for what may be the final time for now. Enjoy the unlimited heavy liquor and the mini-buffet and prime rib while it lasts. (I know, there will always be a Borgata Buffet!)

With a different, renewed discipline to save my roll, as I'm really a rec player, no more marathon cash games for me. I'm out if I'm out. Hope to see any 2+2ers that come along our way. :-)

Would that extra dollar per player explain this difference, then?

Made my monthly trip to Borg yesterday.. non stop poker for 11+ hrs.. played the 11am tournament got busted when my A9 two pair got rivered by a flush.. but made my tourney buy in back plus $180+ from 1-2 NL.. was up 60+ when i decided to play my last hand and leave.. got A5.. flopped A A 5.. BOOM BOAT.. player on the left bet 5.. smooth called...everyone else folded. turn 4.. he bets 15.. again just called... river 9... now he started thinking.. he says "i know u have Ace.. but i want to see it".. he bets 25.. now i raised it to 100.. he tanks for a while... he kept saying why would u have not raised if u had ace in the flop.. but ended up calling... he had A3.. so that was a nice pot to end the day.. one of the best tables i played.. great fun.. will be back next month.. thanks stan and team for the great poker room

How long did the stud freeroll last today? Was it full, with 300 entrants? Thanks for the info.

We had 110 players and it lasted until around 8:00pm. The funny thing was we didn't lose one live game when it started. I really thought that we would lose a few of our live games. Everyone seemed to have a good time. It was a good way to get our promotional information out to the stud players.

20-40 Stud seems to be going pretty regularly (was still going at 2AM last night).

Stud comps are doubled this month, so they're trying to get more variety in limits.

With the news on this thread I spoke with my co-worker at the newspaper about the new Stud offerings today, and he's STOKED! He couldn't afford the 10/20 or 20/40. Great decision, indeed.

In the mean time, I'll be at 1-2 NLHE later tonight. Stan, I'll see you soon! :-)

That sounds like a very long tourney for only 110 people - do you think that was typical or unusual?

Also, your earlier post said there would be 5 stud freerolls, but the website only shows for. Will there be a freeroll on Thursday the 4th or not?

It does explain the difference; I thought they had the same time charge. Stan cleared this up a few posts ago

Remember that it started at 1pm. That is only 7 hours. We had 94 players today and it ended very early due to a player chop. We will only have 4 free rolls and the last one is Wednesday.

I'm pretty excited about the prospect of $6 Comp at 20/40! Hopefully this will bring some new life to the game. I know I will certainly be returning to it more while this promotion is ongoing.
