Sorry, I love this game, but I won't be around this Sat. Hopefully it'll go again tomorrow or Wed afternoon.

Just want to poke in here and say that the BBJ hit today around 1pm. I was at table 6, and it hit on table 7. > < this close.

Quad 5's vs. 2c-6c. Quite the celebration, it was. ~$159,800. Not a bad haul, eh?

Seriously this is probably one of my main reasons that I do not play at the Borgata completely regularly. I cannot stand the chips, regardless if people think they are "clean". I don't like that it is far more difficult to shuffle them.

Stan,

I got the mailer this weekend. Does the comp room night have to be on a sun-thurs? Is there any way for it to be a fri or sat night?

Thanks

It seems like you've got your priorities a little bit out of whack. If your primary concern is shuffling chips, instead of playing in a large well-run room that's clean, and profitable with hot waitresses, just get the chips that you like, stay home, and shuffle away.

I like the chips. I've got better things to do than shuffle chips like the people on TV.

+1

It's not impossible to shuffle them, just harder. Also, if you need something to do with your hands, then you could try to learn a couple other chip tricks instead of being a one-trick pony (chip twirl is a really easy one thats doable with borgata chips).

And thank you for the lovely insight. How great of you to point out where my priorities are. Please. I am a pretty successful player. I said it was one of my reasons for not playing there more regularly.

Shuffling and doing other chip tricks helps me remain calm and steady. It helps my game. So I think when I go somewhere, where this feat is more easily accomplished then I think I do have my priorities straight. But thanks once again.

I never once bashed the room or the service or anything but the chips.

Why exactly is "hot waitresses" a more rationale thing to care about in a poker room than nice poker chips?

I actually find that the poor suitability of the Borgata chips for poker play does have a adverse effect on my poker game. It is more difficult to cleanly cut out a bet with the Borgata chips, which can reveal tells if you are nervous or uncertain.

I don't shuffle chips but I find the combination of sticky chips and the table tilting towards the players near the edges to be distracting. The over/under for stacks falling in a 12 hour session (for me) is now 6.

In all seriousness it is annoying to try to cut out 4 chips and get 5 or more. However if this is the worst thing I can say about the room (and it pretty much is) then it is no big deal. Most importantly the dealers at the Borgata are collectively amazing.

Personally, I am not that into the waitresses. Their outfits would be extraordinary except that most of the waitresses have had boob jobs. Putting it differently, if they were on a plane and the plane went down in water, they would not need flotation devices...

Personally, I do not have an issue with fake boobs. They look almost the same they just feel a little different. Putting it differently, the waitress's at Borgata are much easier on the eyes then the overweight old wrinkly waitress's at some of the other casinos.

I do agree. A lot my game also involves being pretty smooth with my cutting out chips and things of that nature. The way the chips sticks together makes me feel that I look nervous, and then this in turn makes me a little bit flustered.

And I agree that the waitresses "being hot" does have nothing to do with priorities (only involving poker)

Hotel rooms all gone? Or just about? I just tried to book a night a week through August - and almost all the days are closed to comps.

Stan - I hope that you are having a wonderful vacation.

I'm not attempting to insult anyone. I've never even tried to shuffle chips. I've got great dexterity. But I feel like, if everyone else is doing that, I'll do something else.

I don't need anything to keep me calm. I'm pretty cool. But I don't smoke or drink alcohol like a lot os people in casinos do.

To the one asking about the wednesday tourneys, the afternoon one usually gets over 300 entrants. I remember the one I played it had 378 entrants, first price was like 12k.
