I can also photoshop paystubs, checks, bank info. I have very little experience photoshopping.

Totally my point. Why waste everyone's time if "out of the blue" Chris now accepts Jason's proof. Yeah the same proof he couldn't provide on here, lol.

What a joke!!! Hey Chris, can I borrow 50k??? I have some guys that will vouch I am a bazillionaire.

Chris had to do this at this point. JY no doubt was going to stop at nothing to get the cash (destroying mm rep). Very fishy to all of a sudden scape together so called proof that he had the cash this late in the game.

What lesson is that????

MM comes here, claims JY was freerolling, no proof offered by Jason, Chris hears another story by Assani and confirms he will not pay Jason, all of a sudden Chris believes Jason with a wave of the hand and this complete thread has been a big waste????

That lesson???

Seems like a lot more than financial proof was offered.

I understand you two are attempting to extract a bit more drama out of it but just stop. Jason shouldn't have to make any of this information public, as long as Chris is satisfied with w/e information he was given should be enough.

Yeah as someone who was pro-MM the entire time if JY has been able to prove that he was solvent and would have paid out on time had MM have lost at the time he 100% owes money regardless of the other evidence.

Seeing how everyone hinged on the evidence, with yourself even quoting that CM wanted evidence, then to completely disregard how easy it is to fabricate the evidence, is a nice way out.

As I said before, only way to be sure for an amount this large is to have someone mutual go with him to his bank, prove he was solvent.

But it's not my money and there is 0 shot I would ever get to this point so I really don't care what Monkeymaker blows his money on. Keep betting sports for all I care.

Always gracious in defeat I guess

To go back 30 pages where you first conceded you will pay him (I mean who he owes), I again offer my congratulations. This is the only sensible resolution.

Proof has always been there...you pro-MM supporters just had to open your eyes to be able to accept it.

Timelines, MM's OP and further posts, text messages, prior thread of MM's similar form...it is all there - look for the inconsistencies between his OP and the text messages - that is pretty much the case in a nutshell. Once JY released those messages, it showed that MM was giving us a complete run around just like arguably what he has been doing to JY for the last 18 months -

we are not trying to convict a murderer beyond a reasonable doubt; rather just on a scale of over 50%, does MM owe JY for the second bet lost after letting the initial win ride?

The answer is yes.

You can't say gameoverjc and theriversniper didn't try to protect their man right up until the end. You must give them props for their loyalty at least.

And poor old Kilowatt is going to have trouble accepting this decision

I would be surprised if any bookie will want to take MM's action after reading this thread. Likely scenario the bookie will try to avoid is having MM lose a bet but not pay in the hope the bookie goes bust 6 months down the track or becomes aware several months after that the bookie owes a couple of debts (whether they were incurred well after MM's bet or not).

I think it's because this thread has been a huge waste of time, only serving to make everyone, including some posters, look bad.

Why JY couldn't provide this "proof" directly to CM a week ago - or actually months ago - is beyond me. That's what everyone (including Kilowatt) was asking. It was his refusal to do this, to CM or to a third party, that baffled everyone. And before finally picking up the phone, or emailing CM the proof, he decided to call Pokerstars (!) to have them pressure Chris, and later he dumped a bunch of private texts that make CM look quite bad (money issues, wife issues). Why? Why do all that when the proof was right there?

Obviously, if CM is satisfied, it's his problem, so issue solved. JY doesn't owe anyone in this thread anything, other than Assini and Sheets and some other unknown person that CM referenced. CM implies they will be taken care of, so all's well that ends well.

Just a strange, bizarre thread, and I do believe we only have a small percentage of the real info. But CM determined it was in his best interest to end it, and so, at least between him and JY, it ends. Although, we've been here before, and then things changed. So let's see if any other surprises await.

Now I'm off to make a bid on MonemakerGaming.com. Wish me luck, everyone!

As a sceptic for/to both parties, I find it rather unsatisfying that you came to the forums to resolve this issue, but when it is finally resolved, we don't get to hear the full story, but some vague jibberjabber.

Also, some comments on the earlier MM debacle, which shows some of the characteristics of this issue (MM being evasive, telling some hard to believe truths), remain unanswered.

I have no idea why we needed 1600 posts for JY to just provide the proof he was solvent to CM if the evidence was there all along. Instead of posting this thread with no evidence, JY should have already shown reputable people proof he was liquid so that this situation could be avoided.

Glad to see this resolved, and JY if you ever find yourself in this spot again just provide the proof that you clearly ended up having straight up and you can avoid a thousand plus posts of people bashing you.

Anyway, everyone wins now, the people owed get their money back, CM pays his debts, JY gets the money to pay people back and everyone is happy. It's ridiculous this outcome didn't occur in the first 50 posts if JY had the proof of his liquidity there from the start.

CM made himself look bad by not paying him in September 2012 like he said he was going to. If had done this and stuck by his word, he would have avoided JY having to release these messages.

More than a year later with MM stiffing JY, he certainly has just cause to be upset with the way that MM has mishandled matters and if as a consequence of this (as it looks like), he has released the messages...then so be it.

A lesson to MM to get on top of things more but sadly it seems he hasn't learnt his lessons from that thread before which was 5 years ago

How about you stop being a dick towards everyone in the thread who was asking JY to prove his liquidity since in the end doing exactly that is what he needed to do to convince CM to pay up... if he hadn't provided proof of his liquidity to CM, we wouldn't have reached a resolution.

Anyway, common sense prevails and now we can all move on to more important topics like debating whether Ryan Riess is the best poker player in the world and whether Gus Hansen will ever win back the millions of dollars he's losing at the nosebleeds
