I think the point is that many were calling him to prove his liquidity on this thread which I thought was a preposterous idea. This is especially so if it involved outing his bookie.

I liked and supported the idea of a private arbitrator resolving the matter through the mutual consent of JY and CM to release all documents pertinent to resolving the matter.

I just didn't want Kilowatt to be that arbitrator like he once wanted!

Again, you fail to read.

Where did I say prove to this thread? I stated I would think having a third party that is neutral go with Jason Young to the bank and verify he had the funds. They don't need to post anything here really other than it's been resolved and how (since they decided to make light of the issue). The issue is over 20k, it's not even hard to buy a plane ticket for $500 and go one self.

Jason Young looks like a scum bag, Moneymaker looks like a degen. Whether or not JY was scamming Moneymaker looks like we will never know, due to Moneymaker accepting documents that Jason provided.

kilowatt still owns this thread hard, which isn't a surprise considering his deductive reasoning helped with the UB scandal.

Also, some comments on the earlier MM debacle, which shows some of the characteristics of this issue (MM being evasive, telling some hard to believe truths), remain unanswered.
Spot on!!!!

All of a sudden Chris you're satisfied???? Um, well that's great and all but don't you think MAYBE JUST MAYBE that if Jason really had this proof(that Kilowatt and everybody else on here asked about), he would have provided it to you months and months ago????

Chris you have flip flopped so much in here it makes me wonder honestly what the heck your true purpose was all along. Were you dead broke when you owed Jason that you used this "freerolling" excuse until your finances got back in order????

Or was Jason threatening to release more damaging texts that you sent so you ultimately decided to privately settle with him for a lesser amount???

Again it was my impression that you started this thread to inform us 2+2ers the "real" truth about what transpired between you two. Was it initially our business???? No it wasn't but you and Jason made it that way by starting this thread and going back and forth. I'm glad you resolved this but for the vast majority on here who gave their opinions and spent actual time trying to reasonably analyze things, you and Jason ultimately just wasted our time.

Just my 2 cents.

The mere settlement of this matter suggests to me JY has always been in the right. At no stage during this thread has JY backed away from his claims but on at least two occasions I would put to you - earlier on in the thread where MM says he would pay (quoted in the title) and later when he had the misguided idea to donate his bet to charity are the two occasions that suggest to me that JY has been on firm ground in relation to this matter.

As for kilowatt, I do note his absence in the last few pages but let's hope (like with some others) that he can put the position he took in this thread as a mistake and he's learned from it as I sincerely hope you do too.

Why JY couldn't provide this "proof" directly to CM a week ago - or actually months ago - is beyond me. That's what everyone (including Kilowatt) was asking. It was his refusal to do this, to CM or to a third party, that baffled everyone. And before finally picking up the phone, or emailing CM the proof, he decided to call Pokerstars (!) to have them pressure Chris, and later he dumped a bunch of private texts that make CM look quite bad (money issues, wife issues). Why? Why do all that when the proof was right there?

Obviously, if CM is satisfied, it's his problem, so issue solved. JY doesn't owe anyone in this thread anything, other than Assini and Sheets and some other unknown person that CM referenced. CM implies they will be taken care of, so all's well that ends well.

Just a strange, bizarre thread, and I do believe we only have a small percentage of the real info. But CM determined it was in his best interest to end it, and so, at least between him and JY, it ends. Although, we've been here before, and then things changed. So let's see if any other surprises await.

Now I'm off to make a bid on MonemakerGaming.com. Wish me luck, everyone!

Bundy5, I realise you've obviously got some connection to JY but even you must admit he hasn't handled this at all well.

And MM has handled it extremely badly too.

Overall, a pretty pathetic situation but at least it's apparently now resolved. Let's hope they both learn from it, but I'm doubtful.

If he did provide it to MM directly even a week or so ago, whose to say he wouldn't have just shrugged it off like he did repeatedly in those text messages that we know of?

Ultimately, 2+2 is the only way to resolve it and as it turned out that has eventually been the case.

I'm starting to think CM and Jason had a bet with someone that they could make a thread that has X number of thousands of views/posts in it. CM just has to "change" his mind about paying a couple of more times to keep this thread going. (Mods will run out of room to post resolved.unresolved etc in the title)

So now JY has proved (for some unknown value of 'proved') he was solvent, does that add weight to there being no runaway bookie? I can see some value in MM paying off debts that JY owed personally, but no value in paying off debts that are owed by the bookie.

Yea I didn't fully understand what he saying here either. Jason and I had been working out his payments, and I'm pretty sure he has already mailed out multiple checks with different dates for me to cash them on.

Ok, cool...if you are able to pay $2022 at once then I'd obv prefer that over installments. I can just rip Jason's checks up when they arrive if we do this.

Please remind me in the future that settling things on 2+2 never goes well for either party, and is usually a huge waste of a thread.

since JY was so hard up on money, why dont 2p2 pool our money and pay JY to pass a polygraph. We can decide on the questions obviously (was there really a bookie & did you have the money to pay Chris) to name a few. if he passes he gets paid whatever money we have pool.

I commit $50 to the cause.

This is such a mess........

CM: I spent the last days talking to all parties involved.

Yet assani has to learn through this thread there this is a deal between CM and JY and that CM will pay him.

This is getting worse and worse.

Don't be silly, polygraph test are unreliable.

Yes, this is/was a mess. And yes, it only gets worse and worse and will continue to do so. I am sure noone is going to be made whole any time soon and proper, while the reputation of both has suffered again.
While at one point it was great for Chris and Jason to be here during this, maybe it is time to make this a more private matter between you guys and the people owed. And people here had division with their postings, crazy passion as this got worked out publicly, not sure if that was good or sad.
Truly a shame thru cards and business chances they havent been able to take care of greater success, but need to take care of themselves first. get in shape guys, getting in your own way, you both are gifted and should have wilder success.
okay, in post nine million, I have Toby Mcguire playing Jason, Phillip Seymour Hoffman Playing Chris, and Andy Garcia as Sam Farha.....coming to DVD near you, The Forum
