Now Full Tilt is worse than Poker Stars ever was. The past month has been brutal. Tonight I've had pocket aces six times. All six times I lost to someone with a lower pocket pair.

I can't tell you how many times (at least 100 times the past thee weeks) where someone needs one card, especially two or three hours into a tournament, and they hit when odds are 90 to 95% in my favor.

You tell yourself that's poker until it happens time after time after time.

I enjoy playing poker online but I'm about ready to give it up. There doesn't seem to be a site to where it plays out like a casino. You see bad beats in a casino but NOTHING like Full Tilt and Poker Stars back when I played over on that site.

Curious as to others observations. Is there a site that's on the up and up or is it time to retire from online poker where you start to get the feeling the deck literally is stacked against you?
Bad beats at pokerstars yihaaaaa i've like 1284 hands in a row to trow away 2/3.4/2.6/2 ... i emaild them and they said to me you can have that for months?? i thought this site is rigged and what i found out is that they have pokerbots on the site believe it or not!!!! i saw the game play how tight it was i followed the guy(bot) and the same game play over and over again! never play on PS with real money i still play there but not to win its on the play money tables and even there i lose all the time.
pokerstar is rigged thats final!! i told support(the biggest losers of them all) that they have to get the game togetter but now they dont even send email to me no ads nothing!

Look at the river and the flush, straight, full house, and even straight flush days its if you can look in the future on PS 2sec on a table and you see what day it is out of 10 hands in a row are 8 str or fh or fl how is that possible the card dealing is random?? i just cant understand the random part in PS.

S&G's Tourney's are players pickt out to win (the lucky seats) and they are there your DOOOOOOOMED from the beginning i hate PS policy

Clearly we have a large enough sample size to now know that poor grammar and nonsensical ramblings by rigtards are not purely coincidental.

The funniest thing about this post is that he edited it to correct it. Can't imagine what it could have said the first time!

By the way, if you can't beat play money, perhaps poker isn't for you yet. Read the microstakes forums, get a few books, then try again.

Pokerstars is a place where someone can go when they are just too relaxed. Within seconds of entering PokerStars the relaxation will simply melt away as you quickly became frustrated beyond what you thought possible. While at PokerStars you can pretend like you are playing poker, but truly your fate has already been decided by the time you sit down at a table. You can be sure you will get a lot of great hands, but there will always be a better hand so that PokerStars can take in their fabulous rake.

I went to PokerStars yesterday. So I had AA, and this other guy had AA, and two other guys had KK. We all went allin, and the board made 34567, we all split and lost money because of the rake.

2. Pokerstars 61 up, 21 down love it hate it

A place associated with bad beats in poker. A pokerstars may be rigged, but most likely is not. A typical situation at a pokerstars will occur when you are tricked into playing hands where you have a huge advantage, but doing so will simply increase the pot, thereby increasing the rake the pokerstars will take in as profit. You will lose most of the good hands you play. A pokerstars will allow you to make a few final tables in big tournaments, and then give you bad beats so you don't make at least a dozen more final tables that you deserve to have made. A good site overall, but the stress a pokerstars will cause you is outrageous.

Person #1: I was playing poker last night and I went allin on a flop of AK5 with my pocket 5's, and someone called with 910! Turn was a J, river a Q and I lost! Someone else in the hand even had pocket queens, and a fourth person even had AK!
Person #2: What a pokerstars hand!

An online poker site full of bad beats from left to right. You will come in with the best hand, and some nub will get runner runner nuts. Then you end up putting more money on the site and say you wont let it happen again.

you are first to act and have AA and raise a good amount, everyone folds, big blind calls with 7 2 because hes a nub, flop is A 2 2, all the money goes in, and the river is a 2. "WOW, what a PokerStars hand!"

So, can you explain for me how "real" casinos have managed to be profitable for well over 25 years without cheating customers and why online poker rooms have no choice but to resort to such tactics in order to make money?

I have a question. I'm more of a reader than a poster; I read this forum a lot because it gives me a good laugh... Would never bother posting in it in most cases but I am curious about something...

Why is it that well respected, logical thinkers, and [probably] successful players (DMoogle, NFuego, etc.) bother trying to explain the facts and debate with these rigtards? It is a lost cause friends.

I don't really try to explain the facts and debate; I mostly just point out obvious flaws in their arguments. I love arguing anyway, especially since I'm usually right.

It's important that we all do our bit from time to time on this thread.

If we didn't the rigtards would have it to themselves and any new forum member who chanced upon the thread might gain the impression that rigging is an accepted fact.

I don't think anyone on the debunking (of riggedness) side posts all the time. We all take breaks but there are enough to ensure that at any one time the rigtards don't get it all their own way.

I guess I am seen as a rigtard but I know that I am a logical thinker. My results on stars have varied so wildly from expectation that collectively you could call my run a rare event. Rare events don't happen- that is a precept of probability. So I engage with the defenders of pokerstars here about why they hold their beliefs about the integrity of the game. And it is a belief, not knowledge. No one has ever proved that any poker site is not rigged. In the back of my mind I think most likely I was just running bad on stars, and I suspect most of the "rigtards" here think the same thing deep down, but it is fun to speculate since (having never been proved either way) it is an open question.

People post in this thread for intellectual exercise and/or fun, not to convince people of changing their minds, which is rare event.

This is a good point. I hadn't thought of it that way.

I don't think I have the patience for it, but I'm glad that some do.

This thread is, for the most part, a good deal of fun and an interesting exercise in logical thinking. It shows an interesting relationship between perception and reality, and forces us to really think about poker statistics, expectation, and variance. In fact, I've actually learned quite a bit from this thread in terms of statistics and how to think about variance.

And I still get a a kick out of all these accusations without the slightest bit of evidence - scratch that, there's lots of "slight" evidence, just very little convincing evidence. This is surprising since it is so easy for players to get their hand histories and analyze them in a somewhat sophisticated manner, even with limited statistical skills.
