Think you get 20% off at restaurants if you pay with points.

I don't know anything about using casino points, but you get no discount using poker comps.

Secondly, since I put in a lot of hours, eating at the food court can get expensive and it's usually pretty unhealthy. I usually bring my dinner and heat it up in the microwave in our poker room. Does the poker room or food court there have a microwave or am I SOL?

Thanks
Play like you normally would.

When you get hungry ask for a "meal ticket"

Take up to 2 hours to go eat or do anything you want.

When you return, present the blue ticket they gave you back to the brush stand and you are first on the waiting list if there is one.

Poker comps can be used at any of the real restaurants but not the food court.

I also think you can call in for 5/10 or higher.

Thanks man, that info helps a lot.

Does anyone know what % of the field is being paid in the little slick? I would think everyone that makes it to day 2 should be in the money.

Usually not the case. Typically they were playing down to 12% in each flight and payout maybe just over 10%. Anywhere from 20-50 remaining till money depending on field size.

I did notice they changed play down to 11% for this one so maybe they payout everyone making day 2 but doubtful. Will be very few remaining till money if that's the case though.

My guess is field around 1700 players with like 190ish coming back day 2. Paying 180 or so

One of the MTT day 1 chip leaders came to my table to play $1,$2 cash .. Youngster, finished day 1 with 1.2m chips .. Seemed nice guy, and gave us some hands.

Basically took a 100k stack near the bubble, to finishing stack. Said he felt tourney was fairly soft so far ..but, it's v early days.

Hope he gets a decent result.

Well he was full of **** or you misunderstood. There are only like 1.5 million in play to begin with (12k starting stacks) Usually 300k-400k chip leads. No damn way someone bagged over 1 million.

BJ balls is half right. You can get on the list and fart around the casino and they can text you when your seat in available. This use to be the set up last year but only 1 nice supervisor took the time to take all of the regular higher stakes players phone numbers. That supervisor is no longer a super, so that probably doesn't exist anymore.

If you hold an 'Exclusive' "X" card, you go straight to the top of any wait list, but you have to whale it up in the casino for one of those. There's a small room service menu for the high stakes area for eating in the poker room, but other than those 4 tables, no eating in the poker room.

As great of a player as I'm sure you believe that you are, calling someone a "drooler" is wrong on many levels, as it's also wrong to call players fish, donkeys, etc...

I'm sure you are one of the best players in Tampa but try respecting the casual players and those gamblers who are there to have fun, they are the ones who pay into the poker economy. Also remember that many of those players who you disparage by using belittling names to talk about them are in some cases much more financially successful in life than most poker players will ever be, so giving them some respect is both warranted and the right thing to do.

I said NH and GL and went on with life, I'd never say anything negative to them. You're right though.... just stings.

you must have been the drooler he was talking to

games have been great with these tourney, although wait lists are long. Of course the tourney has little value but it's good to bring fresh faces into the room. 2000 entries x 20.00 rake, 40K for the hard rock Indians 20k for the dealer tip share

Weird situation last night. Heads-up on the river in a cash game. Player A bet; player B called. Player A said "you're good" and physically mucked his cards - they were unrecoverable. Dealer said that player B still had to show his cards to be pushed the pot. Floor confirmed. When asked what would happen to the pot if player B didn't show, floor said "the dealer gets it."

Is this accurate? Where I play, even though it's a called action, after the muck it's considered uncontested and player B takes the pot with no requirement to show.

If anyone has any right to see anything, it should be player B, who paid player A's bet to see their hand at showdown. Player B paid for that information. You know? It seems like player B is being punished when player A I sta-mucks there.

In this poker room,if there is equal action on the River a hand must be shown to claim the pot. This has been the standard for as long as i can remember. If the player refuses to show or also mucks, then it is a chopped pot.

Chopped pot is a hell of a lot more reasonable than "the dealer gets the pot", which is what I was told!
So a dealer friend of mine just told me that all of Florida has this rule, but that the player only has to show *one* card for the pot. Is this true at the Hard Rock?
