I'd be in. I tried to get $1/$2 PLO to run for the 1st 2 months I lived here every time I played and it never once ran, so I wouldn't get too excited.

Question to fellow Florida players. Facing a bet on the turn and playing deep stake vs opponent. I get the clock call with about a minute thinking. floor comes over and ask dealer if I had enough time dealer says differently. after the hand I ask the floor if a one minute in a cash games is enough time and I'm told yes.

I want to ask a players to get any objective opinion?

Nice to meet you. I seen it called once, funny story, players show up but house call the game off. So we have two, I seen non holdem games run if it has a set time and day!

What was your table presence before this hand went down?

I did not tank once before this hand went down, playing for about 6 hours.

Just curious how much the bet was for that made you take the minute+?

Stopped by the poker room to play $2/5 at the end of my business trip.
Very nice casino in general. Poker room was enjoyable. Good mix of fun players and regs around 7pm. At 11pm the fun players had busted and it was mostly regs.

What is the deal with betting now that they've removed the betting line? I used to frequent the room when the betting line was in place. I'm not frustrated with the new felt, I just would like to know the following.

If Player A bets $20, and Player B Grabs $100 and reaches out to put the chips in the middle, but only drops $20 worth, then pulls the remaining $80 back in to his stack, is this not a raise?

^^^ it's all about intent.

on the one hand, it eliminates confusion about forward motion and angle shooting. OTOH, we're now reliant on dealers interpreting intent and, let's face it, there aren't a ton of really strong dealers in the room.

That's a shame. I was in a spot wednesday night where a player made the same act/motion he did when he had earlier put his stack all in. In my hand against him, I thought he was raising me, so I said "call" almost immediately. The player said he was just calling and the dealer agreed it was just a call.

Was weird because he still called all in on the turn.

In this case I think the guy was definitely shooting an angle. In another hand I played with him he bet out of turn playing against me on the river. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and instead of betting $35 as planned for value I check/called his $20 bet. After seeing his holding I realized he did it as an angle to prevent having to call a larger bet.

when in doubt, ALWAYS ask the dealer for clarification.

Honestly, I wasn't in doubt at all. I'll just be more cautious going forward.

Agreed, there are angle shooters (not usually good at all at it), just ask the dealer what the action is and the amount and go from there.

Frankly, the angle shooters are the broke-dick losing players anyway. I love playing against them!

If there is any online players (or even if you're not) in here, I have 2 24'' Samsung monitors for sale (1920x1080) and an Ikea Markus chair that is only 8 months old.
Moving across the country and it's easier to just buy new stuff. PM if interested, I'm near the airport.

Screens $100 a piece (retail is around $220) and the chair I'll let go for $100 as well. (Retail is $200). Will sell separately.

Mods: I realize this isn't the appropriate thread, but there isn't really anywhere else to post where locals will see it.

Got to play a Saturday night for the first time in a long time and holy crap did the room clear out once the hot table was done for the evening! Still, the action was as good as advertised. Just wish the woman would give me the thumbs up to play more Fri/Sat night...

Not sure if that's funny or sad, that people would head out instantly after the Hot Table promotion ends when it's only $100, that you get taxed on anyways.... lol

meh, often times people only want to play for a few hours so they just line it up with a promo... or they're about to leave but there is an hour of promo left so they stick around for it. i don't really fault anyone for wanting a chance at a return on their jackpot tax.

It never fails and yeah, it's pretty sad. So many withered degenerates folding and sleeping their way to a promotion. I wish they'd more actively kick people out who they have to wake up every 10 minutes. Besides being a pathetic site, it ruins the game.

When they were doing that "play 5 hours between midnight and 11:59am get a spin" promotion, the tables at like 4am til 5am, were the absolute worst..... Just people falling asleep, passing out, or folding their way to the last hour to get the spin......
