Their policy is well-done only?! That's kind of scary, actually. Maybe they know something we don't about the quality of their meat.

They know that they don't have to worry about any nonsense lawsuits. I mean listen to us bagging their employees. Do you really trust them to handle things right in the back and cook things to order? I sure as heck don't. Nevermind when you have 10 orders making sure you put the right ones together isn't so easy when you have trouble getting your orders right to start.

I like a medium hamburger as much as the next guy, but ground beef processing in general isn't so good in this world. A wanna be upscale chain like fat just isn't gonna take enough care.

honestly, if you want a burger go to Wolfgang Puck's (sit at the bar or out front, in back has higher prices) and get their burger, it's way better and only a couple dollars more. and if you use comp dollars, its 1:1, where everything downstairs is 2:1 (if you do use comp dollars, fat burger ends up being more expensive!)

Very good. I'll definitely be doing this. 1:1 makes me happy.

I thought I said that.... You can also get it to go. Seriously, I am on the perfect burger hunt, and Wolfgang is in the lead so far.

the staff at TL was very friendly and helpful when I was there.

My thing now is doing a big breakfast at the buffet, then a salad for dinner. Breakfast buffet is reasonably priced for the size of meal and quality.

Awesome, will give it a shot. I usually hit Bobby Flay's and haven't tried Puck's yet. Symon's place had an interesting menu.

Has anyone been able to update their Black Label card without getting up to the $1000 threshold?

Is there a thread with the rumors/info on the online poker thing? or perhaps without derailing this thread....

If I understand correctly each casino is partnered with an established online casino/poker software provider ? But people will need to make new accounts? Will these be "J. Smith" or will they provide more anonymity?

Anyone know if the Borg has the "Big 10 Sports network" in
the sports book or bar or anywhere else ?

Going to be @ the Borg this Fri-Sun & my team St Johns opens Fri
@ Wisconsin - their only game not shown on regular NY-NJ cable.

Respectfully disagree. Old Homestead is where it's at.

Burger and a beer at Wolfgang Puck's bar is one of the best meals I've ever had. You're really ****ing up if you're a Borgata reg eating at Fatburger when Puck's is open, especially with the previously mentioned comp issue.

Never been, but I've heard not too good reviews for Old Homestead, especially when compared to Bobby Flay's.

Fornelletto is also good Italian food.

Underwhelmed by Old Homestead. Good food, not great. Good service, not great. I'd much rather go to Ruth's Chris.

Enjoying restaurant week so far. Monday lunch at NOW, dinner at the Japanese pub. Metro for lunch today, old homestead for dinner tonight.

Food is very good to excellent, service is spotty.

Poker drama at the 1/2 table last #shocking , $35ish pot preflop, seat 5 goes ask in, pushes chips forward and starts chatting up seat 7 who is still too act. 5 has called him his Daddy, and 7 may be flustered.

Dealer rapidly runs board out, seat 5 shows AJ for tptk, the draws have missed. Seat 7 looks confused and says he never called.

Floor called, she calls shift manager. Seat 7s calling chips are impounded until they can look at the tape. Shift manager comes back and returns chips to seat 7, assume dealer for spoken to about confirming action.

Isn't it great when the dealers are not paying attention.

For sure, some of them are great but there are some dealers who are not so good.

I guess the moral of the story is to have the dealer make the other player push their chips over the betting line.

pretty much every restaurant at borgata is top notch. my last two visits to old homestead have been below expectations. steaks not cooked to right temperature... mediocre service.... however they were still great steaks and was still treated like a high class king... but for what i expect (and paid) i expected more. old homestead in nyc is awesome and has never dissapointed (in my whopping two visits).

bobby flays at borgata was great on my one visit. excellent steak.

NOW has never dissapointed either.

best food in the city though... amada at revel and it's not even close imo. every dish is amazing. and the service and views are top notch.

it's actually my second favorite ac restaurant. i'm not telling the first. it's already getting too crowded.

No mention of Izakaya? Went there once when the girlfriend came to AC with me. Everything was delicious.

Izakaya is great, but for the portions, the cost is very high (even for a casino).
Bread and Butter is solid if not very heavy.

Love NOW. I wish I was there this week for Restaurant week. Specials all look excellent.
