For all those asking about comp'd rooms. I just booked two comped consecutive nights last week. I haven't been to Borgata since March, but everytime I go I drop at least 1K on blackjack/craps. They've treated me pretty well since I started going 3 years ago.

1K on table games sounds a lot better than a 1/2 player playing a few hours May I ask how many comp dollars do you earn each trip??

Around $10 a trip (usually 2 nights).

Back in July (7/15?) Borg ran a great (2-3 day) 1,000+90 Tourn with great structure.

Had 320+ runners. Is anything similar planned Oct-Dec ?

I just called. As a 1/2 player, I am only going to get 10 days per 90. Two days per week. What is the 2/5 player experience? I play a lot of poker when I go, and wind up with about $ 25- 30 comp a trip.

2-5 5-12hrs play per one night stay(probably go down for 3-4 days/month) mostly gets me all days Sun-Thurs most Fri and occasional Sat year round and almost all Fri/Sat in winter as well.

Oh, and you can only book 2 nights per week, more than that is charged at discounted rate.

It's not 10 days per 90, it's a maximum of 10 reservations per 90 at any one time. So you can book your 2 nights per week for the 5 weeks, then each time you exhaust one, you can add another in the future. Not too onerous. You just have to stay on top of your reservations.

The woman on the phone may have had it wrong, but that is what she told me. I confirmed by saying is that 40 days a year, and she said yes. Then she went on. I could give more details.

Now, I am currently on two days a week until mid nov. I was just calling, trying to max my rooms in the future.

Now, even hosts make mistakes, but that is what she told me. (and more) if you are interested.

She said just wait til you clear some of those 10+ rooms and comps will open up again.

Just dropped below 10 booked rooms and......... All comps are back as Mabel stated so looks like not going to be a huge problem.

Has anyone heard any more details about the upcoming Borgata online poker starting in November? With it just about October I am trying to see if more details have been made available

Always interested in knowing the truth! Oddly, I just checked my comps and while I am still over the 10 reservation limit, my Sunday to Friday comps have fully returned! I think there is more individuality to the program then we are told. There are other forces at work here. Mysterious forces that defy simple rules and rote observation. Hopefully these forces are benevolent. Perhaps it is as simple as they want better looking people in the room, and so, made an exception for me.

Utter torture right now, with every table prattling and bantering about the bad beat. Stupid, hackneyed, mind-numbingly repetitive jokes about hitting it, especially at the beginning of a down. I just wish to God they would get rid of the damned thing and lower the bloody rake. A few times I have cracked and revealed my wish that the thing be abolished. The old crusty farts look at me like I just announced the end of the world. WHY WOULD YOU NOT WANT THE BAD BEAT?!

If there was a poker version of the movie "Saw", with diabolical and fiendish devices and procedures designed to drive a good poker player to utter madness and self-immolation, the bad beat jackpot would have to be a part of the Final Act. And to add insult to effing injury, every few hours the Grim Reaper arrives to drain what looks like about $300 into a plastic bag. Hundreds of dollars of my profit, leaving the table systematically and inexorably. So that some ancient life form whose dreams of wealth withered on a vine that died circa 1969 can score a gambling rebuy.

Yes, I know, don't lecture me. Tapping on the fish tank and all that. I get it. 99.44% of the time I am silent. But once in a while...

Quality post, sandsmarc. The grim reaper as rake-taker is good stuff. I imagine as he floats away with the chips, he looks over his shoulder and rasps at the nearest old guy "Robert... I'm coming for you next..."

I don't mind $1 extra, large BBJ brings all kinds of players that wouldn't even be playing poker otherwise, this weekend the games were amazing in supposed off-season

I disagree strongly. People are going to play awful regardless of a BBJ/Promo prize. *Edit, I am fine with a $4+1 rake* **A rake of $5+2 (looking at you Florida and other caeser's AC properties) is not)**

Is there going to be a Borgata Fall open in November? It's run for about 2 weeks the previous 3 Novembers?
