RIP as in "he's dead" or RIP as in "he no longer works there"?

Is this the very "helpful" guy with the glasses?

Random question, but im looking to play poker full time at the borgata. Am I able to work out some sort of deal with them that say if I play 50-60hrs a week at the 2-5 and 5-10NL poker they will let me live in one of the hotel rooms charging me a monthly rent as well?

I highly doubt that Borg would negotiate a monthly rate for you. 2/5 and 5/10NL seem too low for them to consider something like that, even if they were to consider doing that for a poker player.

But you never know, talk to Vinny or Mabel.

At those stakes, if you were to open your game up, you could probably hop from casino to casino and live 2 days here, 3 days here, etc. and live virtually rent free (minus the room fees).

no. They're not even legally allowed to let you stay there more than a set amount of time

no, Borg most probably wont do it.

best bet, meet a few like minded individuals you can trust and piggy back comped rooms (ie you get one mon-tues, he gets one wed-thurs, etc). depending on the staff member at the front desk, they might let you check out/check in into the same room, so you don't have to move your stuff.

just make sure you get 2 queens or you might have to argue for who is the big/little spoon...

i think nj law is no more than 2 comped nights per week. i think stan mentioned in it this thread. i'm not going to bother looking for proof but that's what i've heard and you can probably confirm it somewhere if you look.

You believe that there is a law that will not allow someone to stay in a casino/hotel for a set period of time, even if he pays for the accommodations?

ashiXIII, you are the winner of the most confused post ever.

considering i've stayed in a hotel for ~200 straight nights (in NJ), i agree with Jigsaw

some took his post to mean comps, but the OP specifically said he would rent the room (but he was looking for a cheaper rate)

I have heard many people quote that but it is wrong, I have personally stayed 3 nights in a row several times and I know some people with 4 nights (but I do think 3 straight is the limit).

Borgata might give you a discounted room rate, plus give you 4 free nights a week, pay $59 for 3 nights so $177 a week before taxes if you play 5/10, 2/5 you would only get 2-3 nights a week.

Don't know if AC has it, but some localities do limit the number of nights you can stay in hotels.

FWIW OP never said a monthly comped room - he's willing to pay, just wondering if he can get a monthly rate is all.

You'd probably be better off staying at an extended stay type of place. Probably cheaper and maybe it would have a small kitchen/efficiency so you can not eat every single meal at a restaurant/takeout.

If you get a roommate, you can completely cover the month in comped rooms if you play 30 hours a week of 5-10 NL (or 50 hours a week of 2-5 NL) each. I have friends who did that for like 4 months in a row last year.

hey guys I was at the gym today and someone was telling me about some bed bug epidemic in AC right now, is there any truth to this rumor? I am going to Borgata tomorrow night and Monday night. Also , does anyone know if they play NFL Redzone channel in the poker room on sundays?

I've not experienced any problems with this at the "B". I stayed there this last weekend (Oct 19)

writing from the borgata living room. BIG Negative on the bugs. I've never seen the red zone per se. I would ask the floor.
