Spoke with Mabel Willi. she is the poker host. She noted that they are not decreasing comp rooms, just the number of reservations. That directly contradicted the words of another VIP host, the details of which I posted previously.

So, someone must have gotten up on the wrong side of the poker room, because that was very negative information. At the time I posted the details, but in addition. She said they had made a marketing decision, and that I would now have to pay, and so on and so forth. I noted I have to pass six casinos to get here, and so on....to no avail.

We will see how it goes, I have not cycled through down to four reservations yet. At that point, a new comp opportunity should appear, and according to Mabel, I should get two days a week. ( along with the rest of you )

[QUOTE=sandsmarc;40418779]If you pick the room number correctly, you can park your car right outside your window. I like being able to keep an eye on my car from the room.

Maybe it's just me. I'm an old guy and I have driven only Cadillacs for the last 40 years.
But in all of my years of travel, it never even crossed my mind to "be able to keep an eye on my car from the room".
If it had, I think I would have concluded that I was staying in a place so down-scale that I probably shouldn't be there to start with.
But that's just me.

Not seeing two. I was below the 10 threshold and booked my November rooms a few hours ago. Each week, I was only able to get 1 comp per week. That's my situation, I recognize that every player may be treated differently based on their play. I'm simply offering this as data. One a week for a 1/2-2/5 high daily average grinder who plays about 7-8 days per month on average. YMMV.

We all have our compulsions I guess. In reality I actually don't look at the car all that often, so it could probably be jacked without an issue, but nevertheless. I like to be able to see it.

The hit came in a $2-$5 No Limit game.

William Varley Jr. of Jackson NJ saw his nine high straight flush lose to a jack high straight flush held by Farrokh Sateri of Galloway Twp.

Well, lose in the sense that his bad beat hit netted him $245,845 as the Borgata Bad Beat Jackpot winner. Sateri won the hand and $122,924.

Six other players at the table won $40,975.

They are:

PATRICIA HAGGERTY (SCRANTON, PA)
FRANK INGARDIA (MONROE TWP, NJ)
ADAM GOLDSTEIN (BENSALEM, PA)
ANNA KHAIT (STATEN ISLAND, NY)
JOHN LETOURNEAU (CENTERPORT, NY)
JOSEPH LAPINTA (TOMS RIVER, NJ)

I do not think the winner or loser is a reg, but I recognize 2 of those names on the table share

you're in pleasantville. i grew up in this area for 25 years, trust me, it's not pleasant, despite its name... i'd keep an eye on my car too, especially if i drove a caddy.

I will contact the poker host and see what is up. It would seem that the first host was closer to being correct based on your actual experience.

And this is not confirmed, but the dealer ar one of my tables told me that once again it was straight flush over straight flush on a 2/5 table, and one or more of the players were the same one(s) who won on last week's hit. That would be incredibly good luck. But we'll have to wait for the official list of winners to see if this is true.

At Canterbury in Minnesota, the same guy won the big end 2 days in a row--Jackpots were both over 100k so he got >50K each time. Easier qualifiers (AAATT)
