Are you inquiring about the 1000 max 2/5 game?

They switched the 3/5 to 2/5 deep. 300-1000. Runs when there are people interested in playing deep. So usually weekends.

No but there are other Borgata people that do

I just checked my comps....anyone else notice a significant change? They wiped out all comped rooms (except for rooms that i booked). I use to get Sunday-Friday comped. I was just upgraded to black card status. I'm a bit confused.

I at least have rooms booked thru Nov 15th. I will have to check after I get back from visit this weekend, if they don't comp me rooms I will not be going there once I-gaming goes.

Same with me, but I'm red label. I wanted to book another room, so I called customer care and was advised that a new policy was just put in - I could book only up to 10 nights in advance over a rolling 90-day period. The rep made it sound like I was getting "punished" for not playing enough. That explanation seems at odds with your situation, RaraDevils.

Me too. Comped rooms are gone. It happened last week, but I didn't want to post here until I saw confirmation in case it was just my play. I honestly did not think it would last forever, and now it appears to be over for the time being. I'm booked solid through October. Hopefully once I get under the 10-night limit through attrition, some comped rooms will return. Never a dull moment in poker!

Just looked at Bravo.

The wait lists for the cash games are insane. 169 waiting for 2/5NL. 74 deep waiting for one 5/10NL game. 15 deep waiting for zero 10/25NL games.

I don't play tournaments. Is it worth it to come down this weekend if I don't want to play in the tourney? Is the huge demand generated by the tourney somehow an unexpected problem? I'm going to be headed down this weekend, and it will be very disappointing to not be able to get into some cash games.

Here too, very interesting, I was getting 3 days a a week, now I am down to 2. But to be honest I do not care too much, online poker is coming in less then 3 months and I rarely used the 3 nights a week.

I made reservations a day or two ago for the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving - Comped and they are still there. Also my calender also shows I have COMP room availability for the next 3 months - including Friday and saturdays. Not sure if this is a factor bus I was just there over this past weekend (after about a 2 month absense) and played about 26 hours of 1/2NL over between Saturday morning and Sunday night.

Yesterday and today were day 1 the $500 and whatever $2m guarantee. the other tournaments shouldn't create this kind of interest, so I can't imagine it will be as bad

two regs complained about getting just one day a week today. I wonder how you max out your offers? ( while just playing poker)

My rooms are not changed, but I always max out the rooms as soon as they are put up. I expect that my rooms will go the way of others.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Yeah same thing here. I thought it was because I canceled a stay last week and they thought I gave no play during a stay and pm'd Borgata Poker on here to get it straightened out. No word yet but seeing as others having this problem it's probably not that.

I checked and I have like 13 days booked in advance so your explanation sounds about right. I guess when I get below 10 room offers will open again. I too like to book as soon as rooms come available too so I'm booked into Nov. And all the booked comp rooms are there so no prob with already booked rooms. If offers open up after you get below 10 booked that won't be that big a deal. I'll just have to be more judicious about which days I book and not just shotgun it and cancel the ones that don't work. I always cancel way in advance, so as to not abuse the system but I can see why they might want to avoid late cancellations. I'll be there tonight and tomorrow so I'll look into it some more and get back to everyone.

Thanks for checking into it and reporting back. A 10 reservation limit would be fine to work with. I would not relish the thought of reverting to $19 flea traps again. I experienced locational shock and awe in the Travelodge Bayside over Labor Day weekend, and as I entered my room it occurred to me: I've a feeling we're not in the Borgata anymore...

Yea I thought they took away my 3 day free rooms cause last 2 months I went to NC for weekends and did not play for 2 weeks in that 5 week span, and one time I was there for 3 nights in a row I barely played 20 hours so that counts as 4 days so 5 hour average day. But I still have 2 free nights a week

Checked with Mabel(poker room host) and while they are pulling back a bit on comps what we are seeing is the new policy on max number of 10 nights booked before they open up more comps to you, so really shouldn't be a big problem unless you really need to book something after you reach 10 rooms in advance.

She said just wait til you clear some of those 10+ rooms and comps will open up again.

I only have 8 days booked and 0 comped rooms after getting pretty much every day other than some Saturdays, so I call BS on that one.

they are putting a priority on profits. The slot machine players gave away so much in August through Labor Day weekend that they are the priority for the comped rooms. Once they fail to book for rooms in the next few months, the comped rooms will open for poker players and other less profitable guests. If the rooms do not open up, it means the slot players are taking over, - so stay home on Saturday night and play poker online in NJ in December!

So you are saying that it is now a rolling five reservations, or ten comped rooms, instead of a rolling ten reservations or 20 comped rooms as it was. That will work fine with me.

They are looking to decrease the cancellations.

During the week in the OFF season, they do NOT fill up, all things being equal. ( Opens and conventions and what not )

they close the Water Club in the off-season sometimes. When they do close the Water Club, rooms at Borgata can be very difficult to get as only one of the hotels is open.

I have been guilty of reserving many, many dates, but often cancelling when I get busy with work or other obligations. I suspect many of us have been doing the same thing. I will now try to modify this. When I reserve, I will make every effort to get down and play. Perhaps that will help with keeping the comps coming and Borgata management happy.

This seriously matters to me. I want the free rooms. If cancellations are the issue, I will plan more carefully and stop cancelling.

Hey BorgataPoker, do you have advice to share with us on this topic?

Can someone give me an overview of how comped rooms work at the Borgata? I live in P.A and will be driving down to play 10 hour+ sessions, getting some rooms comped would be amazing. Thanks in advance

What's the website and where would you check? Sorry for being such a novice, today was my first day in AC.

BTW, any other poker rooms I should check out?
