I'm gonna start doing weekly poker room trips on the weekends and trying to decide where to take them. If comped weekend rooms are a possibility after a reasonable amount of play I prob won't bother going anywhere else. Would be playing at 2/5 - 5/10

Plus 1. If you don't believe it, go read some of the posts about San Diego's O11 or others in that county.

10 20 he is playing, not like he playing 2 4 or 4 8. If he were playing 2 4 should be given medal nothing wrong with playing 10 20.

LOL. I like to play 10/20 and 20/40, but this comment was pretty funny. The game certainly isn't for everyone.

The carpet will be first. This should happen sometime in August. Then the rest will follow.

I do not know the exact number of hours or number of plays but i will say that wil not take much to get mid week at first. If you become a regular, then you start to see weekends come available. It only takes one play to get the free parking pass (Free Parking Twice a Month). This will happen when the new offers come out. Play more and you may receive unlimited free parking.

Again I must suggest that those who think Borgata is some horrid place to play poker just go somewhere else damit and stop complaining like a two year old.

I too have played in my share of rooms...more than some...far less than some others and the issues that DO exist at Borgata are minimal at best and it's the only card room that I know of that the players have a direct line of communication to the boss of the whole shebang. Stan & Tab post here constantly and actually read and reply to suggestions. What other room do we have such an open and productive dialogue with? Last year we asked for and got a pink chip game. This year it was the 3/5 game. The list goes on and on of things that Stan is willing to do/try (oh hai RAZZ) simply because it is what the players want. Like any other business what's good for the players is good for the room and Borgata meets and exceeds this challenge every day.

Free parking...free rooms (I just booked a Friday night COMP room for a tourney in the September series)...games we want...direct access to upper management....WTF more do you people want?

I see no other poker room that takes customer input like this....

...Otherwise, your constructive criticisms come off as mad rant.
Blatantly untrue. How many times have people complained, both publicly in this forum and privately to management, about the smoking in the bathroom, without anything whatsoever being done?

The 1-2 players have been seduced by the occasional free room and now are blinded to any problems that exist in the poker room.

I am one of the "seduced 1/2 players" (what does that even imply?). I didn't think the smoking issue was a big deal even before I had any comps. I was happy even with the old reduced poker rate. If something is an issue, I have no problem with people saying so. Wait service is sometimes spotty. Floor can sometimes be a little more friendly and helpful with finding seats. Though my two trips last week really turned me around my feelings about the suits running the games. I find most of the "abominations" most people complain about to be huge nitpicks.

Not to mention it's a matter of who is doing the complaining. Posters who mostly lurk for years, have <100 posts, and seemingly come out only to moan about something have less credibility with me personally. If I saw one of the thread regulars come in and have TR of a bad experience I think you'd see a far different reaction.

Do you have a no mail code on your account? is your ID upto date in our system? These two things are the most common that will keep a player from getting offers. Call the Borgata card center to find out.

That is your oppinion and that's OK but we are taking steps to correct it. We are totally aware of the posts make on this thread. Sorry to say that you nor NIN has ever come to me in person and said any about someone smoking in the restroom.

We run SNG's every day. Just put your name on the list and they will call the game when they have enough players.

In addition to people complaining in this forum, I personally know someone who has spoken to you directly about this issue. Also, I have emailed you in the past about other problems in the poker room and haven't received a response.

Is it really very difficult to cure the smoking problem? I've advocated in the past a very simple solution:

First time offenders should have their names logged and notified that the next time they are caught, they will be facing stiff fines and/or ejection.

If the malodorous, obnoxious violators finally see that management is serious about cracking down on the perverse corruption of public space, the problem will very quickly be in the past.

You might want to study law 101. In the US a private firm such as Borgata has ZERO, ZIP, 0 authority to issue a "stiff fine." Seriously, where do people come up with this ****?

On the substantive issue, I've been to Borgata ~100 times and have never seen someone smoke in the bathroom. I hate smoking just as much as you do but I'm not ****ing anal like you obviously are. Who made you king to decide that smoking should be prohibited in the bathrooms? I know Stan and Tab didn't.
