pretty sure you have no concept of what makes someone a tool, because it's certainly not being upset when dickheads light up in the bathroom.

I've played at Borgata since it opened and while I'm not there 5 days a week (real job ftw) I play enough over the years to be a black card and have noticed smoking in the bathroom once years ago. It is NOT a prevalent issue.

To those who disagree with me (apparently with great passion), what exactly can Stan rationally do? Don't say he can make announcements. As I said before, the offenders KNOW that they are not supposed to do that. No announcement is going to stop them, but it certainly will annoy the rest of us.

If the problem was so widespread that everybody was complaining about it, then maybe some affirmative action on the Borgata's behalf would be necessary, but because it's not, I would say if it bothers you so much, go to the bathroom in the cafeteria downstairs.

The only PLO/NL mix you'll ever see is on a rare weekend where it'll be 25.25 plo / 10.25 nl or 25.50 nl. These are uncapped and are 2500 min, but if it's mixed w 25.50 nl the min will be bumped to 5k I believe. 25.25plo will also run as a stand-alone game on some rare weekends...this has happened maybe 3 times this year.

Lots of weekends will produce 1 1.2plo game, 2.5 will run slightly less frequently, but not by much.

What about razz? Are there any razz games (any day of the week) being spread at Borgata?

If I click on a Monday, the next page will show Mon and Tues are comp, and will show rates for the rest of the week, including increased rates for Fri and Sat.
So does that mean we can only get comps/discounts for 2 nights then the rest of the stay is normal priced? Kinda sucks if it's that way, at least before with 1 night a week free, we still got discounts for the rest of the week if we wanted.

Here are the facts:

Smoking in the bathroom is against the rules, and also possibly against state law. It is very clearly indicated by the "No smoking" sign at the entrance to the bathroom (there is also an illustration for the illiterate - so not being able to read isn't a valid excuse).

Casinos are usually vehement about dispensing with those who don't follow their rules. Why is the smoking rule any different?

And what's most frustrating is, why does Stan refuse to do anything about it, despite the numerous complaints? Even worse, why can't he at least respond to the posts here? Why does he choose to arrogantly ignore the obvious?

Played the 11am torny, and then cash for the rest of the day, great time. Dealers seem to hate the new Bravo system and would complain about it everytime a new dealer came to the table, pretty comical actually hearing 9/10 dealers say "God this is terrible, it slows down the game" (dealers also swipe in every player at the table and put them on the computer at the table, guess thats what they meant by slowing the game down)

As for the bathroom situation since this is the talk of choice lately, drank a ton on pineapple like usual and went to the bathroom like 8 times, didn't see anyone smoking nor did it smell like smoke at all, and was damn clean

I'm in that bathroom a lot and haven't smelled smoke. He's not 'arrogantly ignoring the obvious', I imagine he's not responding to internet whines when it can be remedied easily by complaining at the Borg when you smell smoke. Get it? Good God, find another cause for your whining righteous indignation fellas, Stan's doing a great job.

I haven't smelt smoke in the bathroom when I go there either, but in fairness I'm never one for picking that stuff up anyway. I imagine a person with asthma will notice it a lot easier.

First of all, even if it happens once in a while, it's still too often. It's wrong, and it should not be tolerated, period. And you obviously haven't been in that bathroom often at all, because it's a fairly common occurrence.

And as NIN does, I also immediately seek out a security guard or the like to confront the obnoxious offender, but nothing of consequence ever happens.
And yes, considering he's the Borgata room manager, and also that he posts here very often, he is certainly ignoring the obvious (both the smoking problem and the complaints about it).

I think I'm coming around to your point of view. You, NIN, and fellow recruits should begin taking bathroom 'sniff shifts' and slowly weed out the obnoxious offenders. Hand out fliers at the urinals and in the stalls, in no time only the sweet smell of urine and feces will fill the air, no longer to be sullied by evil cigarette smoke.

Hrm, had never checked my offers before online, shows every day except saturday available for free! The only thing that puzzles me is that it says I need 973 pts by the end of June to retain my black card, yet I probably average over 100 hours a month at 5/10 nl+. Do those points only track table games, or am I going to lose my black card? Also how many rooms can I book per week, because I usually like to stay fri-sun.

Can't agree more on all counts.

I don't understand why Stan is glossing over such a serious issue as our health. It's both alarming and extremely disappointing considering how quickly he responds to posts concerning comp dollars and free rooms.

I was wondering if he was not responding because it was not his responsibility to stop players from smoking ...but when I asked who's it was I did not get a response on that either.

And btw....Sorry if some of you are tired of reading about my trying to have the smoke-free bathroom law enforced but to me and a few others this is very important. I read some pretty boring stuff too but I deal with it.

Borgata semi-reg. I've smelt smoke of all kinds in the bathroom on about25% of my trips ever. I don't doubt it's an issue and those saying it's wrong are obviously right in their opinion and wanting it enforced. But what more do you think the constant posting about it is going to do? Not trolling just curious what more you guys expect to get out of pounding on the issue?

Saying it's a serious health issue with an "alarming" response is a bit hyperbolic though and probably a reason for the backlash against the rational point you're trying to make.

yo NIN, why don't you relax about Stan responding to your anti smoking campaign, you should just be happy he responds to anything you or anyone else says. Try living in CT and dealing with "the wonder of it all" the majority of the time and see how you like that, because I can tell you, it's not pretty.

While I don't disagree that smoking is nasty and in a closed area like that it really should be a no go, if that is the rule, then feel free to continue to do as you do and alert security. The casino, just like any other establishment that is in business to make a profit is not going to pay to have a security guard stand there all day in the even that someone smokes. Get real. And what will you do? Nothing except complain about it and keep returning to Borgata. Why is that? Because you know it's the greatest. If you really were that upset about it, you'd take your business elsewhere.

new comp room offers are sweet, what's the deal with these things, are they unlimited?, or is it 2 per week as people have discussed above. FML i'm thinking about just bailing on work now and hitting the turnpike.
