I admit: I wish I could just play the 300/600 mix but that's above my liferoll, so I'm trying to find a way to help start lower stakes mixed games. Just a thought, thanks.
While I agree with almost everything you said there -- it is not a NEW topic but one that goes round and round and round. I always am willing to play limit hose below 10/20 and I am there every friday/saturday/sunday - problem is while I think it is great that Stan has literally done the shouting from the table 4/8 hose right here pink chip game lets get it started. I don't think that should be his job on the weekends to get it going. Everyone says i will play then does not show up (even though they are on the list) because they found a better sweet spot (which is silly cause IMO there is no spot sweeter than hose esspecially if i am there being the donkey).

I will start a list right here for next weekend Labor Day for Saturday start time 1pm who else is in (stan feel free to chime in here for any buffet comps you might like to offer lol):

1. taaemt

who else is in.

Also if anyone needs someone to start the game this weekend and i am not in the poker room stan knows how to find me. I dont have one of those nifty phones that stay connected to 2plus2 24/7 so can't do that so if anyone else is there on the weekend pm me and i will send you my number to call me if you need a player.

please no comments from people who have never sat in this crazy game before
2 racks is plenty for the 40 game. Just have another bullet or two ready if the game is good. I suggest waiting until there are two tables and playing in the must-move game.

I've been at Borgata the last two Saturdays. It's downright sad to see the back half of the room being empty during Saturday evening. I hope it's just a temporary state of affairs due to a small bad beat jackpot.

Philadelphians staying in Philadelphia. Plain and simple. There were at least a couple hundred people at Harrah's Chester last night. I could maybe see Borgata/Showboat/Taj adjusting tourneys with bigger stacks, longer blinds, PLO and things like that to entice folks back. IMO this is a one summer lull in the Borgata action. The Philly casinos are new and players are feeling the pinch of the recession. Back to semi-normal in 2011.

One thing I did notice is how much worse the drink service is now. It doesn't feel like a party when you have to run around the casino to beg for a beer.

I played $1/$2 NL at the Borgata last night for about 2.5 hours. It was my first time playing in AC as it was my 21st birthday. I really liked Borgatas poker room and it lived up to all of the great reviews it gets. I ended up with $292 profit so that was nice too.

There was one incident at my table which I will share here, although I'm not sure if this is the right place to do so.

There was one hand between two of the larger stacks on the table. Player 1 had just about 1K, player two had just under 1k but not much less, player three had a few hundred.

The pot is limped. On the flop P3 ends up AI after some betting and raising. On the turn, P1 leads out into the side pot with a $200 bet. P2 calls the bet and slides two $100 stacks out. P2 is left with $300 and P1 has ~$380 behind.

On the river, P1 moves all in and P2 calls, sliding the remaining three stacks of $100 each out. P2's previous two stacks had not been knocked down by the dealer and so P2 slid the last three stacks right up behind the two stacks.

P1 ended up winning the hand and should have won the entire main pot and side pot. However the dealer returned $100 back to P2 claiming that he had P1 covered. A few people at the table told the dealer that P2 only had $300 behind.

The dealer, [name removed], immediately said "I was right. It was right. I don't make mistakes." Even though half of the table was saying he made a mistake. The floor was nearby and something was said to them, but [name removed] continued to deal. [name removed] then even went as far as offering to bet someone at the table $1000 that he was right because he "never makes mistakes." He handled things very inappropriately in my opinion.

Discussion about this went on for a long time. The guy who got cheated out of $100 eventually talked with a manager, maybe Stan? They ended up giving him $30 in comps and said they would review the tape.

I am 100% sure that a mistake was made by the dealer, and he handled it very poorly.

Other than that tl:dr story, everything was awesome!

It sounds like at least one Borgata dealer needs a little bit of coaching about his "never makes mistakes" attitude, and I'm sure that offering to make a $1000 bet about it with customers of Borgata is not encouraged as well.

^Absolutely. His cocky attitude was really getting on my nerves. A few hands later someone handed him $70 (a 50 and a 20) to buyin and Dennis said "minimum is $60." The guy said I know that's 70 and Dennis again said no the minimum is $60. Two people then made a comment about how he never makes mistakes, lol.

Thanks for the information. It wasn't me that handled this situation. I do plan on looking into it when i return to work next week. My only ask is that we do not use the dealers names in this forum. You can always PM me complete details and names. Glad that you enjoyed your time at the Borgata.

I'm sure you hear this a lot, but thanks for running an incredible room. Borgata really made my birthday a good one

The majority of the dealers at the Borg are the best in AC. That said, I have also run into a couple that have no business dealing there.
