Yeah, but I interpreted that as a typo, since it's pot limit. But maybe they're gonna try something new?

Your likelihood of hitting your hand remains the same and the payoff when you do hit is an order of magnitude higher. Maybe just narrow your preflop range a bit?
I already play rather tight. I am just unhappy I have to double my buyin if I want to play correctly. If we are going to do this, make the buy in ~ 200-1000. I don't want scumbags buying in for 100 and just potting every hand preflop. The previous buyins were 50-250BBs so an increase is in order IMO.

BTW dima, were you playing on Saturday, September 11th? I thought I knew who you were, but now I'm not so sure.

Hi Stan,

I saw the new tournament schedule (effective 9/23/2010). Is this a sign of the Economy and the recent PA Rooms?

1) Sunday 11AM 40 + 10 (2 ReEntry)? Really! Sunday Tournament is 50 bucks, wow!
2) The rest of the week M - Th (except W) 80 + 20? Wow!
3) Saturday AM 150 + 30 Deepstack? WOW!

Even the Friday 170 + 30 for 20K Guranteed is not bad either.

Please convey my thanks to whoever decided this. I am pretty sure you won't keep all the credit to yourself. Please share the same with TAB too.

I appreciate the kind word. I hope the new schedule will be appealing to a lot of players. In the past we have not had a guaranteed tournament on Friday night. Not to mention we have not ran a daily tournament on a Saturday night. There will be a twist to the Saturday tournament and I hope to be able to announce it soon.

i played the 1/2 plo on saturday and it was really a 5/5 as they were bringing it in at 5, and counting the small and big as 5 each... I was getting rated for a 1/2 PLO game but playing a 5/5 plo game. I was tired of arguing so i acquiesced. I can't comprehend how the people that want to play that way don't want to sit at a 2/5 or 5/5 game.

I agree. The game plays too high as it is. If we want PLO player base to remain healthy, we need an accessible low stakes game so that people can try the game out without being intimidated. I can understand people wanting to play high, but that's why there are 2/5 and 5/10 stakes out there.

I would think the tournament has a lot to do with it.

Anyone have any experience getting the poker rate with only one days notice? Trying to make my annual birthday trip and hoping to try and score a last minute room for Thursday.

You should be able to limp for $2, but fine, a bring in of $5.. makes the game a little tigher preflop?

Even with that, I think the SB/BB should be considered $5 together, not separately, thus once the first guy brings in for $5, the next person (raiser) can only make it $20, not $25.

I believe Stan is going to post that the rules are you can limp for $2, and raise the pot based on the amount in the pot.. I would agree to consider the SB to be $2, not $1... so $1, $2, limp ($2), pot (2+8, total=$10)

Stan will this be the MO of the PLO table?

i played it a ton and always pushed to have the game moved up to 2/5 or 5/5 which did work a few times ( i wanted to be able to buy in for 1k and have the min raised)
as for being rated
the game is being raked as a 1/2 game
there is no reason to be rated higher if they arent making more themselves

but if the blinds are treated as 5$ each then arent we essentially playing 5/5? I have no problem if they want to charge time, Ill take the higher rating.
