I don't think you looked very hard. It was posted only 2 pages ago less than 2 days ago.

i believe you do not.

Stan,

can this be changed? a rake is a rake weather its tournaments or cash.

the ME is about 3300+200 ish so that would be a nice chunk compared to:

5/10 $6/hour @ 2 points/hr = 66.67 points
10/25 $9/hour @ 4 points/hr = 88.89 points

went to the borgata yesterday and played the 10/20 Omaha hi/lo. Very disappointed in the dealers. Played for about 2 hours before I had to leave due to the fact I just couldn't take how bad the dealers are at this game. I understand they don't deal this game a lot but it is spread almost everyday. They couldn't read the low hands, awarded pots to the wrong hands, and were just plain slow. These aren't new dealers, they have been there for a long time. They get paid well for the job they do, can you really tell me this is the best that the borgata can offer us? I really like playing this game live but its not worth the aggravation better off just to play online.

A big thanks to Stan. Someone from Borgata called me the other day and got me setup with the poker room rate. I've never been there before and already they are treating me great.

I'm sorry if you took my response as being nasty as it wasn't intended to be. When you said you were looking for what happened with RD, I took that to mean you wanted to know how it was resolved, which is what I pointed to. I'm sorry that I didn't understand your post and that you were looking for how it started.

Another suggestion for the future is that you can search for posts from a particular member. This would have given you all of RD's posts.

how soft is the game though? i'm thinking about taking a shot in it since it seems to run fairly regularly. fwiw the dealers we got in the 5/10 HOSE game were competant in general/at reading low boards and splitting/quartering pots etc

I actually did try to search specifically for RD's posts but I guess I wasn't doing it right, it's all good bro, no hard feelings

Depends on who is playing....most of the time its regulars (Not that means that they are good) but most of them play tight. Usually there are one or two that will not be that great and will dump some chips.

Stan/Tab,

Suggestion for the Borgata: like what Matt Savage did during the Detox series, you should find a way to offer some sort of phone-charging station. Maybe where you check your luggage or coats by the hotel check-in, they can offer this service. Either they could already have chargers there or people can bring their phones + chargers; I wouldn't care if there was some nominal charge like $5 or so, something that we could even pay for with comp.

The reason why I ask about this is that, during this past weekend with the double play, I was playing a lot and using my iPhone for music/texts/notes/etc and the battery ran pretty low pretty fast but thankfully I had my wall charger with me. But I felt totally uncomfortable with plugging it into an outlet in the poker room and not having my eye on it the whole time. No matter where you plug it in, anybody can walk up and just take it. This weekend, I saw a couple of phones along the wall and I just wondered how that person wasn't having a panic attack worrying about whether it would be there when they got back or not.

Especially since the WPT is coming very shortly, with so many players, this might be a great service to offer. Just a thought; otherwise, all is well in the Borgata poker room.

The phone charging station like the ones in the airport is a great idea. I think it would make the most sense somewhere in the poker room. I would rather pay a few bucks then leave it out of site against the wall.

I bought this phone charger which is great as long as you carry a backpack or something. It holds 5 charges and it can charge 2 items at the same time.

the only thing I dont like about charging stations is you can miss calls and messages

Talked to Tab about it and we are looking into it.

I'll be moving from Vegas to NYC in about a month or so and looking for a great place in AC to play full-time. I've had a few great experiences at the Borgata in the past, but it has been quite awhile since I've played poker there. Based on the last few pages of this thread, it seems like it's only improved.

A couple of quick questions:

What is the min/max buy-in for 2/5?

How many 5/10 games get going on weekdays?

Are Borgata comps still 2:1?

Mix Max for 2/5 is $100-500
I will assume you are asking about 5/10 NL? Min Max is $500-$2000. Mid week 5/10 will be significantly rockier than weekends (though main exception is Wed Afternoons)

Look at Stans game reports, but generally will be one solid 5/10 game midweek with occassionally two.

Weekend 5/10 will easily have 2-4 tables consistently.

During WPT time in Sept, this will go up to 6-10 tables consistently on the weekends, with some overflow during the week as well.

Borgata Comps? Not sure what you are asking, but USING Borg comps at non Borgata related stores (IE food Court, Starbucks) are 2 comp dollars to one purchase dollar. All other Borgata related stores are 1:1.
