VeeRob- has this situation occured where you have set these up?
There are always people at the tournament desk or the front one, so you could keep it in one of those spots. In regards to theft, the casino would be liable if an employee stole the phone, right?

If you put the stations in one of those places, you could have the customer sign a 1 page form that explains how the casino is not responsible for theft if done by a non-employee.

Another thought I just came up with... If you modify those dealer tip boxes and put a hole in it so the wire can fit through, then you keep te box behind the desk, give the key to the phone-owner and only with that key and ID can you retrieve the phone. But I admit that this is getting complicated and might not be worth the casino's time.

RE: Fone Chargers ...

A Keep-it-simple way would be to simply have a table where One of these:
https://www.webtrix.net/shopcart/Adv...pply+&search=1

Wired to 3 of these of these:

https://www.webtrix.net/shopcart/Adv...t+Box&search=1

They are very simply, neatly & easily mounted to the bottom (or Top) of any type table.
As long as the Player brings an Automotive Plug/charger for their Cellfone, this "Charging Table", could safely charge up to 9 devices at a time from a single AC outlet..
Tab & Stan would simply have to figure the logistics of where to put the "charging table", & how it's accessed.

Can we turn this into a grammar thread?

I hope you didn't include grammar lessons in your The Big Game audition videos.

And enough about the phones. Jeez, let's play/talk poker.

I suggest you don't play tight weak in that game or any. If you play conservative I would suggest 50BB (4K) for 30 hours.

Tilted me so hard, lol. But you are right sir, well played...

Anyway, getting back on topic...the Borgata still does not allow eating at the table in the main areas, right?

Correct, you can only eat at the tables in the high limit room.

I can't believe there are so many bad ideas about the battery charging situation.

First of all, if you spend too much time in a poker room, do yourself a favor and buy a second batter if your phone allows it...these days they are typically less than $50. charge both fully and you'll never have a problem. If you have an iPhone and can't replace the battery, get yourself a battery back..they range from $40-$70 and they double the juice on your iPhone...example: http://www.ivyskin.com/http://www.iv...tterypack.html

and there are various versions for iPhone 3G/3Gs and 4...all you have to do is use a simple search.

http://www.amazon.com/MiLi-Spring-Ex...2816533&sr=8-7

If you are willing to pay $5 for the use of a charging station the Borgata would provide, you will save yourself lots of money and headache in the long run if you buy an extra battery or juice pack...

And installing those large and hideous bricks under each and every table is just a bad idea. And if they doever provide a charging station, there will inevitably be problems that I don't think Stan or Tab would want to deal with...

I agree that if people all bought 2nd batteries & portable power packs, there'd be no need, but let's face it , that's never going to happen.

As far as the bricks/ table.. 1st, the items are actually quite slim & would be unseen, unless you crawled under the table & looked up at the underside, And,
more importantly, the idea wasn't for Every table to be a charging station, just to set up 1 seperate "charging table" in a semi-secure area (it doesn't even have to be a "poker" table) ...
ASSuming a venue wanted to offer a charging station, 1 charging table w 9 DC accessory outlets & a few AC outlets installed on it might be do-able, & not an unreasonable idea... I suggest that the fee be $2/charge, & the funds go into the dealer tip pool during major events ....

Stan,

Onto a new topic: to promote mix games, maybe the B can offer a 'game of the day' promotion where you pick a low/mid stakes game (1/2 PLO, 5/10 limit hose, etc.) and offer anybody that plays it double the normal comp rate.

I admit: I wish I could just play the 300/600 mix but that's above my liferoll, so I'm trying to find a way to help start lower stakes mixed games. Just a thought, thanks.

Quick question - are you allowed to wander into the high limit area and rail a game for a bit or do they frown on that?

If you linger they'll ask you to move. However if you have a friend at the table who will say your with him they will allow it.
