Credit card companies do not allow substantial overpayments to be made online. He could mail a payment for the balance plus $2000. But, if the charge is treated as a cash advance, there will still be about a 3% processing fee.

It's still a hassle.

We got about 25 signatures from 5/10 regs, but it was not enough to influence the decision

Stan,

Is it possible for a 2-5 player to earn enough points to get a Black Card? How many hours will I need to average monthly?

You need 1000 comp points in a calendar year to reach black card level. You get two points per hour of 2/5 play. 500 hours in a year. Do the math to find out if that's realistic for you.

Absolutely. 500 hours in a callender year. Less than 10 hour a week. But you can also earn free parking and comped rooms while trying to earn the Black Card.

How much would it take you guys to do this? I'm thinking I'd need 250K minimum.

I would love to do it, but I need my job to pay the bills. If I was retired or not so dependent on a job to pay my bills, I would definately give it a shot. You figure 40 hours a week, you could easily do it five days a week 9:00AM-5:00PM, and be home for dinner and the news.

If I lived closer, even with a job, I would definately consider doing it at 3/6 LHE. Only need 20 hours a week, which you could do with four hours a night for five days.

Either way, Stan would have to hook me up with loads of free parking vouchers. 250 days at $5/day parking would be $1,250!

2/4 limit? I can't imagine the pain to be honest.

It would be very painful. I would need lots of cocktails.

Actually, I have had some of the best times spending hours at a Borgata 2/4 LHE table getting beyond drunk. I'll be there next week, maybe I should try it again. At least this time I'm staying there, I wouldn't have to worry about passing out in the field walking back to Harrah's and getting eaten alive by those oversized ducks.

I gave up on Borgata poker comps awhile back. I only get to play ~130 hours per year, and never got even a meal downstairs over four years, the comps kept expiring. I did get a nice steak dinner with my $102 on my Taj card and got $65 over a long Foxwoods weekend.

In times of -18% revenues, you'd think a few crumbs to the poker players would more than pay for itself. I don't need it (top 5% household income), but if I'm driving two other poker/blackjack/craps players and the games we want are offered elsewhere, that's where we'll go 75% of the time.

Any satellites planned for next weeks Junkies poker open?

The field has never been less than 300(?), correct? I imagine a solid influx of tournament players to the cash games as well.

Sat's sound like a good idea for that Junkies tournament. I would be in for maybe a 40+10, 1st gets a seat and 2nd gets $100. Stan doesnt the borg have SnG's similar to this running anyway? Doesnt seem like too much of a stretch.

Ding Ding Ding

We were not able to influence it, there were significantly more people that were not interested in signing, and wanted the BBJP.

Woohooo lottery at the poker table, 1/17,347,225 them be betting odds...

Yeah Shag, but the BBJ is EV neutral, whereas all state run Lotteries are -EV. And when the BBJ gets high the 5/10 games get worse because many of the bad players were playing 2/5 instead.

Unfortunately some of us were forced to go bum hunting and also drop down to 2/5 over the past two weeks...

I will say it is kind of fun being able to TOTALLY stack off on big draws and just re-pot your $500 over the top of some weak tight player...

Or be able to call a $40 dollar riv bet with ace high and be good

And for whatever reason if you have like $2K in front of you, people always give you enormous respect for any pot sized bets on the riv...
