5-10 NL is now part of the BBJ right? What does the pot need to get to before the dollar is taken out?

Ok, I'll put a little TR in now. I was at the Borg from last Fri to Tuesday. This is the longest I've stayed in AC, and it was awesome.

Pink chip holdem has lost its "new car smell", it seems. The game doesn't go as long, and imo, isn't as good as it was when it first started. I changed from that to pink chip omaha h/l and vice versa a few times, depending on which game looked good.

I played a lot of 10/20 mixed. On Friday and Saturday, it was HOE, which was a very good game. Most of the regulars are bad at HE, and they only incorporated it to go for the bbjp. The usual complaining of "why are we playing stud 8", but there were enough new players to keep the game good.

The place is very busy during peak time on Saturday, but you can tell it's the winter, as the room starts to die down earlier than I remember. Around midnight, it seemed quieter than it should be. Maybe it's just me.

Didn't play a lot on Sunday at the Borg, as I had a headache, and was over-tired from lack of sleep. So I took it easy, watched some football in bed, played a few hours.

Monday I played 10/20 Omaha h/l with one drunk guy raising blind and going to the river about 95% of the hands. He made the game. For a Monday, this game was awesome. Too bad I didn't a lot of his money, but it made the game much more fun. Once he left, the game went quiet, and I stopped shortly thereafter.

Tuesday - going home day. Played both 10/20 HE and OE, and both games weren't as good.

Ate good food (love NOW). Visited the spa and had massages there. Very awesome, if not pricey. But this was a vacation, so...there you go.

I dropped too much in the pit (BJ and craps are the end of me).

Thanks to Stan, who I couldn't catch over the weekend. Wanted to shake his hand.

Four players dealt in and the pot must be $100.

Is it just $20 min at 2-5, like 1-2?

Just made my hotel reservation for November 11th under the poker room rate offer. Although I have played at Borgata many times, I have never stayed there. Always used to stay at Harrah's properties. Looking forward to staying at Borgata and checking out their hotel rooms.

It will be nice to play a late night session and then go right to my room, and not have to worry about driving back to Harrah's or the boardwalk in the middle of the night.

We just did a 3 night trip staying at the Borgata for the first time. It was pretty great to be able to have such easy access to the room, especially because this was a 4-man trip so we were all able to set our own schedules this way.

The downside however is that it's so easy to wake up in the middle of the night and think, "hey I've slept 2 hours, I can play some more poker!" Exhaustion doesn't lead to optimal play.

Regarding BBJ - 5/10 NL is only 4 players at the table but 10/20 Limit and pcg is 7.....both require $100 in the pot...that just does not seem fair

haha fair? I wish it were 9 players and $300 min for both games. Like wasting time to break a red chip and constantly taking money out of the pot is a good thing?

How can the 10/20 or the pcg (you mean to o8 game? I didnt think it was in the bbj pool) require 7 people in the pot (out of 10)? That's rediculous. I'd prefer to be 4 people in the hand, and maybe a pot of $200 (10 big bets) then 7 people.

Fortunately I dont do 10/20.

I don't think they are counting how many people are "in the pot"... They are counting the number of people dealt cards. Correct?

Correct, 7 people dealt in on 10/20 and PCG. Why the 5/10 is only 4 does stand out.

Does the BBJ hand requirement start going down once the pot gets to a certain limit? Or is this usually hit on a weekly basis?

I am talking about when it is LHE. Last week we were playing 10/20 HOE (must move table) the game broke because we had 6 players for the LHE portion. they did not want to play because they were not bbj eligible.

I have this strange thing that I do when I am playing I always buy 20 whites. I always use 5 whites when I post my little blinds. When the whites are gone I leave the game as it means I am usually not doing well as I have not had any whites shipped back to me. So for me I do not see how it is wasting time.

I think it should change to 7 in the deal, or 4 to a flop

BBJ requirements don't change. You gotta lose with quads or better. Stan would give you a better idea of how often it's hit but it got up to 280k+ last time.

There's really no answer to give as to when or how often it hits. It hit Sunday for the first time in like 4 weeks (maybe more)....BUT, a few months back it hit twice in 24 hours.

It hits when quads lose...that's the short answer. Chances of it being hit goes up Friday night, all Sat and Sat night and Sunday...but that's simply because more hands are dealt at eligible limits.

There is a BBJ info section on The B's site and that will detail when it hit and the jackpot amt. But again, you can't predict when the current one will hit.

Regardless, the action and game selection is always great there...head on down and maybe you'll be at the lucky table.

It is simply amusing how a rumor can start and spread.

BBJP eligibility

2-4, 3-6, 4-8, 5-10 and 6-12 LHE (4 players dealt in with a $20 Pot)

7.50-15 LHE (4 players with $100 Pot)

10-20 LHE (7 players with $100 Pot)

1-2 and 2-5 NL (4 players with $20 Pot)

5-10 NL (4 players with $100 Pot)

Stan: Just a suggestion... Instead of people having to ask, "Stan, how about a live game report?" and then you having to reply with a report, how about just having a Borgata Poker web page that was updated as often as you'd like with that info (I would think it could even be auto-updated on a regular basis) as well as the BBJ status?

That would make this thread cleaner and still give people who are heading there a chance to check out what games are running. This seems better for everyone. If you don't want it accessible directly from the Borgata website for some reason, it could be a stand-alone page, and you would just give us the URL. Any merit?
