Yeah let's stop with the daily posting. There's an app for that!

Sorry, if this is not the proper place to post this but does anyone see Borgata running some MTT series in 2021 potentially? Its a good sign they are running cash games now with dividers etc, but I find it hard to think they will run tournies when they have a lack of space to really run lots of cash games which I would say are of a higher priority vs tournaments.

Going to complain here, but I live in upstate ny and would much rather go to borgata/ parx for an mtt series vs flying to vegas. Feel venetian in vegas will be my only real option for mtts in 2021 (at least in early 2021- who knows what happens in the summer/fall of 2021 with mtts).

Spring/summer 2021 is a possibility for tourneys. I would be highly shocked if tourneys begin before then

It's far more likely we see another shutdown.

There won't be a shutdown, at least for now.

The governor just had his news conference, he's now limiting private houses to no more than 10 guests effective 6 a.m. tomorrow through Thanksgiving and Christmas (I'm not gonna comment on how this isn't enforceable, this isn't the thread to do it).

not right now but if things keep getting worse it's coming. this 10 pm nonsense won't do much and what do you think the next step is?

as a side note it's kind of absurd to see all of the plexiglass everywhere but then some crazy long line stretched across the entire casino for whatever giveaway they had.

They could utilize the space the tourny areas use, but ive heard nothing and seems aggressive given situation.

And the subjectivity of covid rules is very silly.

Must you still sign up in person for games, and are they still texting you? may be in town Friday night, but am aware wait lists are very lengthy on weekends, so wanting to see what the best options I have are. Thanks for any insight! I will be with non-poker friends, so I won’t make them wait around with me if it will take hours to get on a table (probably won’t play in that case).

I have some free time next week and am considering going down during the week (ahead of thanksgiving). What has the weekday action been like for 1/3 and 2/5?

If you are arriving Friday night, I wouldn't even bother, especially when stuff is starting to close down, people will want to get their last play in...

Can you clarify? How so? Is it the waitlist, shorthandedness, or tables are all regs?

Not sure about 1/3 but 2/5 has been pretty good. It started pretty slow after the opening but the action picked up a lot over the last few weeks. Looks like old gamblers found their way back into the PR and have some money to burn after the long lockout. Also, a waiting list situation on the weekdays is considerably better than weekends, so weekdays are the way to go.

1-3 has been trash. All regs, pots small, all limped. And being shorthanded makes it completely worthless and unbearable.

Is Johnny grooms from mgm still helping out? His Twitter looks deactivated. With the recent update, no drinks after 10p at the poker tables? Sounds no fun.

Looks like he deactivated his Twitter when he started getting piled on over something political, FWIW.

Genuine question, why does everyone hate short handed so much? I would love to play 7 handed, although because of my living situation it'll be back to 10 handed before I get back down there in the year 3000

When what starts to slow down - dining and drinks? Or does the poker room close at a certain time? Thanks!

When Gov. Murphy orders casinos shutdown to stem the pandemic, I feel it is inevitable sometime after Thanksgiving.

Because you are rarely playing 7 handed, either the seat isn't filled, or someone has to go to the restroom, or eat, or do laps around the casino because they literally can't sit still for more than 20 minutes at a time. When I was there, it was more like 5 handed a majority of the time.

I wouldn't mind 5 handed tbh lol. You just get to play more hands. Not ideal if you get stuck at a tough table though.
