That is so sick that howard didn't put in a good size bet on the flop with his pocket JJ. Howard is worst player on table and worst then almost all online players.

eli raised the turn with a player still behind to act, wtf does howard think he has? if he didn't have a flush right there he was probably raising on the draw. a bare straight draw is far, far less likely since a) it's so much weaker, and b) howard has 2 of the Js in his hand.

and if he WASN'T raising with the draw, he might've had two pair on the turn and actually be bluffing the river with the best hand (unlikely based on what i know about eli but definitely possible)

it's almost always a bad call, but the main thing i find funny is there's no doubt it was a tilt-call. if you think howard makes that call when he's up 20k instead of down 100k, you're on drugs. and it's funny that he's so clearly tilted being down an entire ~1 buy-in

I wonder if those prop bets were deliberately put in to upset those not used to such happennings.

All I can say is Ivey's double street float gets labeled under EPIC in my files.

I highly doubt eli is gonna be betting 20k with any 2pair hands or whatever there or even small flushes. And the river is the perfect bluff card if he was bluffing the turn, what are you talking about? Clarkmeister's rule anyone ? I forgot that you never bluffcatch in your life. And I don't think howard lets downswings affect his play all that much; he's the sorta guy who takes every hand as he sees it.

veil: eli isn't raising a T98x 3-spade board with complete air on the turn multi-way with patrik behind him who hasn't even acted on this street yet. ever. i know in the whimsical little world inside your head, true poker pros make big bluffs and crazy plays with "any two cards" in all situations, but that's not what actually happens. on that board texture, in that situation, he either has: a made hand worth raising, some sort of hand + draw, or a pure draw. always. he never has a 0 equity hand. this combined with the river bet makes for a pretty damn easy fold since there are very very few pure draws or hand + draws he could have that don't include a big spade

also it would be appreciated if you would stop trying to pretend like you have any clue what you're talking about

yea i thought that was funny too. if commentator really thinks a better 8 is going through eli's mind, he has no hand reading skills watsoever. its obviously polarized to busted draw or 99+. it was a tough spot for eli with so many busted draws from the turn. even durr might not have value bet so big with 99 and 1010. so it could be polarized to missed draw or qq+. eli might have only been thinking about a jack or better too so he might have been suprised by the qqs. great bet by durr btw. most players would probably value bet 1/2 to 2/3 pot to entice a call. he got max value.
