Heading down to play some plo today. May the 4th be with me!

Started the plo game Thursday at 5 pm ran until I left around 11:00 Friday night. Third time in three weeks we've had a session run around the clock. Lots of new faces too. May it some day become the game of the future.

5-10 at foxwoods consists of mostly solid grinders. If you are lucky you will find a game with 1 action player. 2-5 is definitely the better grinder's game these days.

I played plo Thursday night, it was pretty good. Plenty of action and deep stacks. I hope that happens more often.

You must not have played much the last 3 months, almost all the very good regs, including yourself, have been absent and there have been 3+ fish in almost all my games

That was a good game. Stacks are definitely playing deep in that game lately. I played until last call, drank to much, went to sleep got up at 6 to start a list and was 4 handed, 3 of the players still there from when i left.

Friday trip update - Got there with my buddy just about 2. A friend had started the list around 8 and when i called him about 1 to tell him we were on the road, there were only 4 on the list. Got there and still only 4, we made it 6. That is when it became bizzaro world. A floor that 2 weeks ago didn't want us to start the game when only 4 showed up because there were other lists that were longer, but finally agreed along with shift manager that we were not going to walk and the game would break in 30 minutes (really a floor misconception that plo players are not limit o8 player that when that game goes from ten to eight they panic because they don't want to play short and game does break) That same floor within 10 minutes of our arrival called the game with only 6 names on the list. 3 showed up, we agreed to start. I told the floor i wasn't as confident that it would last. She said, let's give it a try. Huh, had to check if as in the right place. By the time the cards were in the air we had 5, at 2:38 half hour after we started it was full and the second time i left, after leaving first to go see the Mayweather fight at midnight, was when I got dinner reseating at 5:00 am because there we still a list of 3 players

Shocker number 2. Two weeks ago we sat at a table set up for higher stakes. Had a half rack of black chips, two racks of green and the rest red and white. Once the game used up those chips each fill was 1800 in red and some white.
We've got close to 9k on the table and they keep bringing us 6 buy ins. Well this time when we needed a fill, (and they respectfully would come to the table to check the tray when i told them we were close to needed a fill) with out asking we got 2k in green 1800 in red. Didn't need a fill every half hour. Awesome!!!

All I ever wanted was for the game to catch on and thought it would if we could get new players to come and see how fun and how much action it could be. We have been getting lots of new faces, and they've been repeat new faces. If the floor can be on our side and help us get the games started and promote the game, then maybe we are the game of the future.

I've certainly been critical in the past, but I think I've been fair. If this is the room seeing the game for what it is and helping us out, then I am going to say so, and say thanks!

What you describe on Friday was great, I hope it represents an improved attitude by the room toward PLO.
OTOH, on Saturday afternoon, when the game was called, we had seven players standing at the table ready to play, and I had to plead with a (very skeptical) floor, to actually open the table and let us start. When another floor finally did so, the table opened almost full and shortly we had a list. Game was still running (and getting better) when I left about 6 hours later...
Really, PLO is so much more fun than Holdem that I really believe it will continue to grow. I think FW could emerge as the East Coast's destination room for this game.

I have to say that I am not great at PLO and I have played with you guys a bunch of times shorthanded and always had a good time and thought people were generally "doing the right thing" to get the game going. The times I've played the floor seemed pretty accommodating to help the game-caveat to all this is I really only play weekends

PLO players and their whining.

When will it end?

If I ever meet this GOTF guy I bet he's a stooge. A real life Larry Fine.

My cliff like decline from Foxwoods favor continues
From 15 points tob10 per week now 10 evert two weeks
No rooms for three straight months and my play frequency and duration has increased
Maybe I need to stay away for awhile

I noticed my "special" rates for the rooms end on June 20th, which I find odd? Why not make the rates for the entire month? So far I'm still at 10 a week that hasn't been taken away from me yet.

Something tells me I'm getting nothing for July as far as room rates.

So I've been offered those $25 Free Bet Event. What do you think is the optimal play? I've been lucky with red/black on roulette. My first inclination was to do field bet on craps. Is there anything else with better EV?

Saw they had a 300-600 Omaha high low game going. Anyone in this thread personally know someone who plays in it?

Generally pass or don't pass bet is best if they allow it on craps.

Blackjack, they pay you 37.50 for blackjack
I was saving mine up (they don't expire) till I had
8, then going to blackjack.

For one hand, what's the house edge in BJ? The hassle with BJ is finding an open seat since I just want to play the one hand.

Without odds? I don't think it's any better than black/red roulette. I don't plan to add any more to the bet.

I'm always able to find an open table on weekday afternoons.. Usually someone will join you after like 10 minutes but today I was able to play about 30-40 mins on my own table.. It was nice...

And I don't know what this does to the overall ev of that one hand, but on free 25 dollar or free 50 dollar bets they only give you even money on blackjack

Not true. They will pay 3-2 on the BJ. They will pay 2-1 on a 2 or 12 on the field.

Then several different dealers and floors lie...

I've seen quite a few people get a blackjack on both the free bets and the 25 dollar match bets and they've only paid 1:1...

But maybe I'm thinking Mohegan?

LOL of the weekend: overhearing a guy on another table legitimately complaining about having his 1k chips colored up during the 500 color up because the tournament series is called "Mega Stack" and the excessive color up made his stack less Mega
