I don't think it's appropriate to compare these FW or MS Mtts to a 100k online. First the 100k has a much higher quality of player. They also have way more variance as the field sizes are close to 1000+ every week. Playing at FW or ms will be much less variance and there are far fewer good players, even a lot of the "good" live mtt regs have serious fundamental flaws in there mtt game that is very exploitable.

But if you are buyin in on credit you just shouldn't. Bad move either way Nd I wouldn't recommend playing anywhere wih credit cause you are broke. Bu if you have too you are much better off putting that 100 or so online nd playing smaller buy ins.

Is it the same DBs from the Mohegan Pink Game.
Been playing 2-3 time a week for the past 3 weeks or so many regs from omaha8, plo and some of the 10-20 guys now that game does not go alot during weekdays so would say most foxwoods regs, big swings so buy in for $250-400. Saw one buy in for $2000 and some for $600+. It gets lots of lookers seeing the mountains of yellow chips in front of players. Can't wait to get back next week.
And if the 5-10 or 10-20 limit game doesn't go it leaves a big gap from 4-8 and 20-40 so the 8-16 HOE fits in nicely.
good luck all

Not to mention he is probably playing on Lock where it is very possible he may never see his winnings, or at least have to wait 4 months. Foxwoods and MS pay you right away!

Rumors might be true; just heard from floor today to expect the poker room to move back upstairs in sept.

Yea, I have heard floors/dealers confirm and deny that rumor. I guess until something official is announced we won't know for sure. I do think it would be better to keep the entire poker operation together because it would improve the flow between tournaments and cash games and also help get SNG's off the ground more often. Not to mention a better location may bring more traffic from upstairs.
However I do like the downstairs location, it's relatively good for keeping smoke and noise from upstairs out of the room.
I guess we will know soon enough.

^^^^^I dunno still think online is better value. Yes the quality of play is better and the structure sucks, but once you get ITM you are freerolling up to much much bigger prize. I also believe that live MTT players are a lot better than live cash game players. I admit I'm a total fish online but I can beat low limit games live no problem. There are pros and cons to both...Also I don't understand why a larger field would effect variance(negatively)?

^^^I'm stupid, but not stupid enough to play on Lock...

Dam really love Foxwoods poker room how it is now...maybe will attract more players but who knows what the new one will look like.

IF they do move poker room they need a smoke free entrance. So Asian section must move. Why not put the poker room where Asian section is so people walking through the main walkway actually SEE the poker room. It'd be nice to have people walking by go, "hey I saw that on ESPN, it looks fun". Then sit down and donate.

Putting the pokerroom where the Asian section is would be the best decision Foxwoods has ever made

Do you know this from a reliable/knowledgeable source, or is it just a rumor? What will happen with the downstairs area.

That's a shame. It was a great idea. FW needs more non-gambling fun activities.

I hope the Asian section doesn't move. You haven't lived until you've played Sic Bo when the busses show up and it's 5 deep. For some reason I always expect someone to wager a live chicken.

Lattimer do you have any timetable for the poker room moving?

Somehow, some way, I think the Asian gamboolers will manage to find the new location.

Upstairs is a good move imo. Just hope it doesnt mean it will be smokey.

I say downstairs should be either non gaming or some type of overflow. I'm not an expert but seems like they need to downsize so it doesn't feel so empty.
