That dealer is married so I don't think she is dating a player

Poker is such a great game... if you're watching it from the sidelines.

It's only the final 2 tables of WSOP-C Main Event... Why all the fuss and excitement? LOOOOOOOOOOOL

http://www.foxwoodspoker.com/2014/08...-lawrence.html

P.S. I don't call it Hold'Em, I call it "Rollercoaster".... because it's nothing but an endless series of ups and downs... and when the ride finally ends, you just wanna puke your guts out.

Finally got to play some 2-7 (huhu) when 2 of the remaining 4 players in Friday night's 40 went to the bathroom.

Unfortunately, I lost both hands.

Did this really happen ? If so, did the Poker Room fix this ? Wouldn't the camera resolve the issue ?

8k pot is no joke, and this is horrid if the Poker Room allowed it.

Seems to me its always 50-50 if a casino ceiling cam can actually make out the cards properly or not. You'd think with all the money flowing thru these damn casinos they would install military-industrial-super-top-secret cameras, but no. At least not the ones they use for the poker tables anyway. They're probably more like the $19.99 Logitech webcams off a Wal-Mart shelf. Plug and play!

The cameras are probably top notch. But they tend to be focused on the dealers.

Makes sense.

Fun watching Chainsaw rip thru this WSOP-C Main Event final table today. Is the other kid a local, seems like he's got a decent rail? Tough breaks today for that Greg kid (don't wanna use names if its not allowed), he did take a bunch of beats while having the best of the equity equation but you know what they say, that's poker, kid. Well played coming into the FT with the short stack.

A player told me about it, I confirmed with a floor that was there.

The kid who got second is from Mass. I've followed him a bit from the p5's online rankings and he's been crushing it for the past few years. He's also done very well on the live circuit I believe he shipped the Venetian main event this summer.

Indeed it does appear he won the DSE III Main Event. Wow, yeah that's pretty darn solid. I'm impressed.

He played well all day, although he does that thing where he sits motionless for about one minute before making a move and making a decision. Kinda like Eric Baldwin or David Sands... that real slow motion thing. Kessler and the third-place guy on the other hand, they made FAST decisions and never slow-played. I appreciate watching that. I don't always appreciate the slow, methodical style of guys like Mark, but... oh well. Who am I to tell them to change with that kind of success? Maybe I need to slow down too?

I worried the kid was gonna drink himself out of a title, he starting sucking down the brewskies really fast after dinner, but maybe one of his friends told him to cool it because after a while he wasn't drinking them anymore, thru the heads-up battle.

I thought the third-place kid played really well, going from the short stack entering the final table, to almost taking the chip lead on that KK<AJo hand just before dinner break. As he pointed out to the table mid-evening, he took a beat from each of the other three remaining players where he had the best of the equity when all the money went in... welcome to my life, kid. LOL I hope you handle it better than I can.

Finally... I wish someone would explain to me why a poker pro would EVER live in Mass.? When it's one of the few states that doesn't allow an income tax deduction for "gambling losses"? This is a big topic for me because I moved back to Mass. myself to be near family for a while, but I can't wait to get the heck out of this ripoff of a state. It's pathetic they're actively courting big-bucks casinos when they treat their own citizens who "gamble" as if we're dirt. Meh, off my soapbox.

Dube ran like God for awhile there, winning every flip and sucking out on Greg's AQ with KJ AIPF.

Can't believe I'm saying this but I'm glad Kessler won.

Flop JJx, turn A, river blank. "Nice catch" says Greg, angrily.

It sure must be nice to run like a God for a month or two. I wouldn't know how it feels.

Still pales in comparison to some other FW FT beats I've seen on live stream;

The last Mega Stack FT sb shoves As9d for 20bb vs button pfr and walks into AhAd in the bb and only hits 5 spades on the board to lock up a 4way chop.

The Mass Pro kid going out 4th in the FPC main losing AA to KK aipf bvb on the case K river with the button pfr-folded AK.

I know you used to be able to get the paper coupons at the comp desk, do those still exist?
FWIW, I played 16 hours of poker Fri-Sat and now I have 15 points/ week and free rooms Sunday-Thursday through October. I'm guessing they want to keep me coming back. No weekend rates though, which would be actually useful.

For tournaments:

They usually get very decent numbers, I wouldn't say "good." Better than a normal day, but worse than when they have a major series. For their noon tourney, you usually looking around 50 to 75runners, and around 100 to 150 for their 6 pm.

So it looks like the awesome room offers I got last week (Two free plus a weekend rate) were an error. I just checked to try to book rooms and they all say invalid. Ughhh I was gonna enjoy a cheap weekend at Two Trees.
Has anybody gotten their room rates for October and do they work?

My code is the same every week and only works for the 4th week (19-25th), which makes sense given the code number. It's supposed to be different each week. It's an online error.

I wish Foxwoods was like Borgata with their offers and comps. I've dumped 1/10th of my money or less at Borg, and gotten 100x more comps and offers there
