The ruling I've always heard at Foxwoods is that out of turn action is never binding. The floor will warn a player if they do it repeatedly.

When did Foxwoods start raking $1 out of pots with no flop? _This happened at 2/5

Anyone have a sense for when the action goes from "Sunday" to "weekday" on Sunday night in terms of juiciness? I'm debating how long to stay Sunday night. (Playing 2/5 NL.)

From my experience the games struggle to continue running at that time since the nightly tourney starts at 6pm.

If you want a juicy game just table select. There'll be plenty of tables going whenever you're there on the weekend. Use your wisdom. None of us can give you the sweetspot to play.

Table 36 is the sweet spot.

I played 2/5 at Foxwoods on Friday night. I hadn't been there in years.

The table was loaded with mostly regulars who are openly soft playing, looking at each other's cards, etc., all while the dealer does nothing about it.

I'm just a recreational player who wasn't planning on going back anytime soon anyway, so I was not about to make a stink. But still, it was pretty annoying.

Is this type of stuff common at Foxwoods? Why is this allowed?

I played on Friday and experienced none of this. Yeah you do occasionally get tables where its like a sad version of Cheers sometimes, but when there's 8+ games running like there were yesterday you should really just ask for a table change, or even several.

Not really common, but it happens everywhere until/unless the other players complain about it.

agree with above but I also think that really 2/5 is the real "grinders game" nowadays and you are going to have some of this always unless it's Friday or Saturday night. Back when people had more money and at the height of the boom back when I first moved to CT between 05-07, there was a lot more action at 5-10, and there was always 10-25 NL, and in my opinion 2/5 was much easier and more profitable than it is nowadays but I guess that's true at all levels of play compared to those awesome years.

I am not saying "poker is dead-everyone is solid", but the economy is different, the bubble burst long ago and the game has evolved. I also see a lot of the better local pro's and tourney grinders playing 2/5 with regularity to build their rolls because it is the biggest game regularly available that is worth their time and still draws enough of a recreational/fishy crowd. Not sure it was always that way, I feel like "that game" was 5/10 5-8 years ago.

the 5/10 still is "that game". it is easily beaten by an average player, especially on the weekends.

Do you really think there is enough regular action at foxwoods at 5/10 and enough tables to be considered a game grinded by many?

never said it was a game grinded by many, just said what is true. the game is beatable for a higher rate, and that is no level. the action with 2 or 3 tables is usually decent on an average day/night, but maybe i caught it at a good time.

only played there maybe 6-7 times.

I can count on one hand the number of times I've seen three 5-10 NL tables going...

This is not necessarily mutually exclusive from prior comment about counting on one hand
