It's a free T-shirt. You have your choice among the 5 styles they gave out in December (Ace, King, Queen, Jack, Joker).

No experience in B&M except local charity games (NH), but I'm thinking of hitting Foxwoods sometime in the next few weeks (2-4 HE/1-2 NL, nothing fancy). Any tips on the room, times/games to avoid these days? Minimum buy-ins (I've heard the 1-2 is $60+, don't know about limit)?

Also, when I check the Current Games tab on their site it comes up with

4 - 8 Holdem L (2) 1 - 5 Stud L (3)
5 - 10 No Limit H (2) 10 - 20 Stud M (1)
1 - 2 No Limit M (11) 20 - 40 Stud H (2)

I assume the numbers in parentheses are how many tables are running but what do the L/M/H stand for, just Low/Medium/High stakes?

You should read the FAQ in the first post of this thread. Here are some answers copy/pasted from there:

Quote:
NL/PL Buy-ins:

1/2 - $60-300
2/5 - $200-500
5/10 - $500-2k
10/20 - $1k-5k
10/25 - $2.5k-unlimited
I didn't put any limit buy-in minimums in there but I think it's usually 5x the Big Bet, so for 2-4 would be $20.

The amount of points you earn varies by game. Each game title will be followed by the letter L, M, or H (example: 1-2 No Limit M). This tells you the comp level for that game. L = 1 pt/hr, M = 1.5 pt/hr, H = 2 pt/hr.
The number in parenthesis is # of tables.

Glad this came up. Made me gloss over the FAQ and noticed I forgot to add 2/5nl to BBJ eligible games. Updated.

Have you ever met a poker player who is not a PITA or a DB?

The HOE game has been fun regardless of who has been sitting there.

What are the better tournaments to play Sat./Sun Foxwoods vs. Mohegan. Played 1 tourney at Mohegan and final tabled 0-2 at the woods. Looking to play the $100+ buy-ins. Def not playing the $300 at MS on Sunday. Thanks.

The Saturday morning $150 at Mohegan plays more like a deeper stack tournament than anything offered at Foxwoods on Saturdays.

The 11am $150 at MS and the 6pm $160 at FW are both good imo, they just have their own pros & cons:

The MS one has the better structure with 20k in chips & 25 min blinds with some more added levels compared to FW last I saw. The downsides are the field size & time. You'll only see 90-120 players and it will take about 10+ hours to complete which sucks for just a $150 daily.

The FW one gets 15k chips & 20 min blinds. Their field is generally bigger than MS with 150+ most likely. The tourney runs about 8 hours. They also allow unlimited re-entries now up to either level 4 or 6 which can suck too.

Wow that isa long time. Would much rather play cash but am broke and will buy my entry online with credit. I don't know what to do. Would like to play at the woods b/c of PLO afterwards if I cash...BUT online is much better value...$109 100k gtd. should be playing that every week! Live is of course more fun. But it's like $40 in gas to get up there. I don't know what to dooooo

Anyone notice if Curtis Jackson (50 cent) was in the poker room today? He is at the boxing fight. He played the WSOP ME one year. Don't think he will be playing after the fight he is hosting some club event.

They have a limited number of comped rooms per given night. You gotta book that **** up the week you get the offers or you'll miss out.
