I heard if one player has a phone out at the table when the BBJ is hit they will invalidate it...is that actually true? Now that would suck if it happend to you.

Going down Wednesday 03/27 - Friday 03/29. Thinking about playing at least 1 session of 1-3 Stud (usually play 4/8 HE). Anyone know typical buy-in, what chips are used? Also what is the betting structure? I.E. can you bet $1-$3 on any street and if you raise does it have to be the same as the bet? Any info would be helpful.

I will down tomorrow AM sitting at the 4/8 table if anyone wants some easy money.

Thanks, Joe

Yes $1-3 any street. The initial force bet is $2 I believe but not sure. Raises work like normal (i.e. minimum raise is previous bet/raise amount) but are capped at $3.

For example, if someone bets $3, a raise would have to be to $6 (and then to $9, etc). If someone bets $2, a raise could be to $4 or $5... if to $4, the next raise could be to $6 or $7... but if it went from $2 to $5, the next raise has to be to $8. Hope that makes sense.

Thanks Lattimer and jpsychlady. Any idea on what chip denominations and buy in amount to bring to the table? Again I appreciate the responses.

$100 should be plenty. It's all white and red. I would bring $40 white and $60 red.

colt45ss, if you do please introduce yourself. I am usually there early 9ish and end up opening the the 1st table. I'll be the middle aged (44) balding guy with the Dilbert card protector.

Good luck, unless you're in a hand with me,
Joe

Curious question, is the Hilton Garden Preston walkable from Foxwoods? Or at least is there an easy way to get there and back without a car?

It's at least 1 mile door to door, with most of that walk along Rte 2 with no sidewalk. I wouldn't do it. They mention a shuttle but I don't know if it's 24 hrs or not.

They opened a month ago. But yes just picking random weekend nights in the future it seems Bellissimo is a little cheaper.

I honestly never stay up that way on the weekend cause its always expensive but bellissimo is a good value weekdays. Think it's 80 or 90 for a regular room 110 or 120 for a suite with a jacuzzi

Yes they do. I don't think it's 24 hours though and they don't post a schedule on the website because it apparently varies a lot.

Plentiful. Just call from hotel.

There's always cabs at Foxwoods to bring you back to the hotel. I've never had a problem finding one.

Any regs from the Boston area that drive to Foxwoods that'd be interested in carpooling? (I'd of course chip in for gas). Greyhound and Asian bus times are pretty inconvenient for weekend warriors as of late and I'm looking to get some volume in.
