For the lower cards, free room offers are mostly based on your Average Daily Points and overall comp usage. The crowns you know who play less but are getting rooms either have a higher daily average and/or use fewer comps.

Well it's official now, WPT scheduled a stop in South Africa during the World Poker Finals. We already knew the WPT no longer had a deal with FW, but I had heard some time ago that they were still talking about making the WPF a WPT stop, now we know for sure that's not happenin'.

'or use fewer comps'.
Can you explain what that means.
Thanks

Headed down for a bachelor party on saturday night. I have never pulled an all-nighter at FW.

How lively are the 1/2 tables from 1am through the morning?

Hoping to hit the tables around 1am or so. Unless I just end up too drunk.

Basically yes. Your play isn't the only thing that affects your rating; your comp usage does as well. Your profitability for the casino makes up a portion of your rating. All other things being equal, the player who uses 0 or 1 free room/week will have a higher rating than the player who uses 2 free rooms/week. Ditto re: claiming the free weekly points, the giveaways they have, etc.

I'm also at a bachelor party there Saturday!

The tables begin to wind down around then. Especially after 2am (no more alcohol service), the tables will start to break. Though I expect it to be busier than normal due to the BBJ.

Hasn't it been official for some time now? Especially when they took everything down that had the "WPT World Poker Room" logo on it! The beige $2 and grey $10 chips still have those logos tho :/

Yes, the prior deal had passed, but a couple of dealers/floors were talking around then and were saying they were still working on a deal to still have the WPT be involved with the finals. Obviously it's done now for sure.

So what you are saying latrines is that since I use my rooms then I have to play even more than my typical habits or lose them?

What if I pay for rooms at a discount? Does that affect my ability to score comp rooms?

It depends how close your typical habits were to the threshold, if there was enough over-cushion to absorb the comp usage. And before people ask, no I don't know what that threshold is for the low roller... and it constantly fluctuates.

It didn't used to but it does now. The discount you get off of the retail price counts against you, because the discount is considered a comp.

I know you're being facetious, but I want to point out that spending points has no effect.

But it should. The player who spends money in the restaurants and spa adds to FW bottom line

I def agree with this... foxwoods should realize that not all their revenue comes from gambling!

Director suite is way better... You get a jacuzzi with a view instead of a bathroom with no windows. Also, if you have someone else who needs to crash there is a spare room with a couch (in the producer suite, the couch looks much rougher to sleep on, and it's in the same room as the main bed)

We talked about this a bit already. Pequot suites are a little bigger IIRC and MGM suites are newer. The two MGM suites are basically the same quality tier, just very different layouts. As far as MGM:

If you are planning a bachelor party or an orgy, go with the Producer Suite.

If you want romantic sexy time with BF/GF/Spouse/Inflatable Doll/Sheep, go with the Director Suite.

Director suites are located at the west end of the hallway (the xx100 and xx101 rooms). There's a wall that separates the living room from bedroom, and a door that privatizes the bedroom from the little hall right when you walk in. The bathroom/jacuzzi is located along the window, so you get a nice view while in the jacuzzi.

IMO, Director suites are better if it's just you or a couple. Producer suites are better if there's a group of you since it's more open and gives you all a place to chill (example: 2 regular rooms and a Producer suite is perfect for a good sized bachelor party).

Producer suites are barely an upgrade compared to regular rooms. Always go with a Director if those are your two options. Corner suites are pretty nice, larger but not as modern. The corner suite would be the one to go with if your going to Pequot. If you really want nice suite at MGM, go with a Studio or one comparable.

Anyone coming down today bring headphones as they are doing construction on fifth street. You will be bound for a headache without them. Also, 2/5 is under the arches. I always thought this was a better area for the game and I like the location it is on today.
