What? The overhead rain shower + robes is the nuts.

Having said that, the fact that they hold a $150 deposit for each night instead of 150 for the duration of the stay like Borgata is tilting. So for three consecutive comped nights you have to sweat $450 coming back.

I don't like staying at the water club either. I prefer the regular tower. I also received a call from housekeeping at 12:25pm today, waking me up, when I had my do not disturb sign on. Frustrated the heck outta me. Anyways I can't complain too much since the rooms are free.

what do you guys like better about main hotel? from what i can tell, water club rooms are same as renovated rooms in main hotel with additions of overhead showers, robes and access to a private pool area (if you're up for some r and r with your pokering). plus it's closer to the poker room.

Absolutely love it here after my first time going just 2 days ago. I went down with 400 in my pocket to play a tournament and nit it up in the 1/2 games. Lost the tourney but came home with 1K profit after my first session at a table. The action is super sweet.

Hightlight of my visit: picking off an amazingly constructed bluff to win a ~$850 pot in a HU hand.

Can't way to come back. I threw out all my other casino cards when I got home. lol

I like the Water Club, but the biggest drawback of it is that there is no refrigerator that you can put a decent amount of stuff in, just the stupid minibar one full of expensive stuff I don't need.

good to know. didn't think about a lot of that. and that overhead shower does give a splash of cold water! haha

enough about the hotel room comparisons... some like the B, some Water CLub... bottom line: Newly renovated roomas at Borgat> Water Club>Old rooms at Borgata... regardless, it's the best place to stay/play poker on the East Coast...period.

Driving down in a few hours to spend a rainy weekend at the B...

This is sort of a Borgata question...

My gf loves the Gypsy Bar at the Borgata. This weekend, we're going to NYC, and she wants to go out someplace like it on Saturday night. Can any of the New Yorkers who go to the Borgata recommend a place in NYC to go that is like the Gypsy Bar (i.e., good drinks, upscale crowd, cover bands)? Thanks for any help.
