The maids I thought get paid like $5-$10 per room they clean, but maybe there is a minimum as stated. That is why they knock on your door and come in the room even if you have the sign on the door. They need to use your phone to log that they cleaned their room. If you want them to stop bothering you, just tell them I don't need service but you may come in and use the phone. That is all they want and the reason they ignore your do not disturb sign. With regards to checking out and being told to leave, a trick I have heard is when the cleaning lady comes to your door, give her $5 or $10 and tell her make my room the last one you clean. This will usually give you until at least 2pm or 3pm before they bother you again.

This, usually take 2 days after you go to get updated offers. Winning may have something to do with it. Not really sure to be honest.

No way they took away comp rooms because you won money on roulette. More likely you didn't get tracked, or didn't play very long.

Oh, and someone mentioned they don't have cameras in the hotel hallways, they do. A Poker player was robbed awhile ago and they had video of the thief entering his room (or claimed they did...)

Yeah I've had them knock any time from 9AM-3PM (and they will not stop knocking until you answer) and call pretty much everyday at 2 or 2:30ish. At least 4 or 5 times they've opened the door but I always keep it bolted so they shut it once they realize I'm inside (also I yell at them when they do this obv).

Maybe it's water club vs borgata? I mostly stay in the main borgata hotel.

Regarding housekeeping: Complaints are 100% grounded in fact. The only way to avoid being disturbed by housekeeping in Borgata is to do all of the following: Hang DND sign on the door (preferably two, a handwritten one using multiple exclamation points helps, prop it up on the door handle), electronically and physically bolt the door, disconnect all phones (including bathroom phone), and depending on how deep a sleeper you are, wear earplugs. Unfortunately that's what it takes, because housekeeping will still call and/or knock, no matter how many times, and no matter how strongly they're told. Another sleep-disruptive thing the maids do is leave the metal bolt between the door and the frame to keep the door from closing while they go back and forth from the room they are cleaning to their carts, resulting in the door slamming against the bolt, springing back, and bouncing a few more times, emitting a truly annoying and sleep-disturbing sound each time.

It should be mentioned that all of the above applies to Borgata only; I've never been bothered by Water Club staff when my DND sign was up. No knocks, no phone calls.

Cliffs are that he had a girl in his room and she swiped his extra room key. Used it to get into his room later and got his bankroll out of the safe.

IIRC the player claimed they had video of her entering the room which the police used to arrest her.

(although, FWIW, Im not all that irritated with the calling and the knocking. Im more irritated with them coming in. If I'm in the room and they disturb me, ok whatever. If Im not in the room and they come in, thats a problem. Im not always in the room, sometimes I wake up at 3 PM, sometimes I wake up at 7AM. Time is a strange thing in a casino.)
