...you get more comps for 20/40, - expect to pay more time too...

re: Kems

The Kems are great. played with them by accident over the weekend. I also hope I get to see a lot more of them, as they do a lot, by themselves, to increase my confidence in the integrity of the games I play...

What about the limit holdem games most importantly 10/20 and 20/40 limit and the 10/20 Omaha hi/lo?
Those three games are all $2 per hour.

Thanks. Just curious but 2/4 limit and 3/6 limit comps are $1 and $1.50 respectively??

10/20 limit time is $7 per half hour time? 20/40 limit time is $10 per half hour? Do you have to pay the half hour when you take a seat even if it was say 10 minutes since they last collected time? I know at caesars, you don't have to pay time when you first sit down if they just collected time so you can probably can 20 minutes free i think if you take a seat after they collected time but this is at 2/5NL.

Also, when i was there, I played some 1/2NL last week. Is Borgata the only place in AC that requires you to post the blinds when you take a seat? I know at caesars and taj, you don't need to post blinds.

Time charge is 5 per down for 10/20 and 7 per down for 20/40.
You do not have to pay immediately when sitting unless it has just been colllected in the last few minutes and has not yet been dropped.
Borgata is the only place in AC I know of that makes new players post in the 1/2 NL games.

Dipce, I haven't played the 20 game much for awhile, but when I used to play it often, the comps were 3 at the Taj, but only 2 at the Borgata. I never heard that had changed. Can you or anyone else confirm that it is 3 or know when it changed?

After all this talk about comp rates, I'm wondering about the credit rates for poker. I'm trying to get to black label status and it seems I have a long way to go. I usually play 2-5nl 10-20 hi/lo and 2-5 PLO .

I know it used to be you had to earn 1000 comp dollars in a ywar playing poker to get black label status. Believe.it is still accurate but not completely sure.

Has this been changed for a while? Is $3/hour the max for the room or do the bigger games get more?

--

ill be down wed-thurs-friday. I would play any of the mix games short @10. I'm probably not going to start or play short 7/15 though. I'd prefer to h.o.s.e.q.t aka no razz

I assume the bigger games get more, - considering they recently "...unveiled a $1 million renovation of the poker room, including an exclusive high-limit poker lounge..." an educated guess would be anyone playing in that 'lounge' is getting more than 3 comps/hour... see http://www.phillygambles.com/casinos...-limit-lounge/

...The Borgata was the only one of Atlantic City's 11 casinos to increase its revenues in 2011... http://www.greenwichtime.com/news/ar...-3-2457081.php

...so as much as I'd like all that money to be pumped into comps for 1-2 games, it is hard to question the judgment of the only management in AC increasing its revenues...

In time games the dealer doesn't "lobby you." I believe in raked games the dealer is supposed to make your light blink which turns off your comps until you get back.

the Borgata does not turn off your comps, (force you to play 30 minutes,) or make your light blink when you take a short break in raked games... (the both of you are thinking of what happens in other poker rooms...)

Well right now they are virtually even and the Borgata has tournaments going so usually that bumps up play. The Borgata barely beats PARX during the week and total PARX poker revenue is closing in on Borgata fast.

We do not lobby anyone for being away from the table.

looking at your prior posts, it is easy to see that you are not a Borgata fan. Why is a sands player so worried about what is going on at the Borgata?

"...does one have to play at least 30 minutes if they are away at a table for more than 30 minutes? ..."

the Borgata never forces you to play for any period of time. Anytime your wife or gf asks you to get up and take her out to eat, you may make her happy and do so without being prejudiced in any way...

------------

it also would not hurt to read prior posts, to wit:
