If the dealer can reach over and muck your cards then you aren't protecting them.

I tend to keep one hand over my cards.

Don't forget, you also hold onto your winning cards at showdown until the dealer pushes you the pot!

I had AKs that hand and knew I was well ahead of his range

Wolper was that older guy that kept cursing the whole time right? I remember they called the floor on him at 1 point lol... But yeah I was out before that.. I was the younger gentleman with the dark hair. To tell you the truth, I didn't really see what happend when they took your pocket cards... I just remember the dealer saying something about protecting your hand... I was probably checking out that cute russian girl

Anticipation of the room being jam packed (which it will be).

Need those tables for cash games.

Is anyone else having trouble logging into their Borgata account online? I've used it in the past before but now it says that I need to activate the account but when I try to do that it says it is unable to activate at this time.

Put in about 21-22 hours this Thur and Fri. Might have played with a few on here but was wondering if there's any hope of getting comped rooms? Been stuck on 59 for weekdays for a while and was hoping this long session would log me a free room or two. Also played roulette for a half hour as if that makes a difference...

^^I did the same thing so we might have played together. It takes a day or two for your room offers to update but you'll prob have some weekday offers.

I was the guy losing all the chips. Table right in front of the cage both nights I played on.

EDIT: Also the log in was different but I just typed in my card # and password and got in no problem.

Where do you live? After interviewing several fellow players it is apparent that you need to live a certain distance away to get free room offers. One regular lives about 45 mintes away and tells me he never gets any offers while his sister who lives 3 hours away gets them all the time.

From what I can tell, 125-150 miles seems to be the minimum. If others chime in we might be able to narrow it down. But it does appear to be distant-dependent.

I wonder if any Philly residents can let us know if they get free rooms.

I live in Upper Darby, right outside of West Philly. I went to Borgata one time during the last Spring Open, signed up for a card and played a Spring Open tourney event and about 8 hours of $1/2. I saw a free room offer when I logged onto my account online the next week and just got a postcard in the mail about it last week.

I am using my free room this Monday (booked before I got the mailer). I plan on playing some $1/2, length depending on how I do. I also plan on having the wife blow about $40 in the slot machines.

Will report back if I get another offer...

OK, that seems to knock it down to about 65 miles or so and 1hr 25min drive. I'd be curious about areas like Tom's River which is 1 hour. Maybe the magic radius is a 1 hour drive.

I live in NYC, and have 2 comp nights booked pretty much every week through the end of june - mostly waterclub. I usually have monday - thursday night as an option, with a few exceptions. (never fri or sat, sometimes only mon-tues)

I usually play 10/20 or 20/40 limit (mix whenever I can), sometimes 1/2 when I want to get drunk.
