Hey guys, all this back-and-forth on who sucks and who is great sure doesn't look like it's going to lead anywhere positive. At best, it belongs in some kind of chat thread; at worst, it's turning into trolling, and so I've removed it.

Also, referring to people by real name when they haven't done so themselves isn't cool.

Hey all, I don't play at Borgata usually but was curious to what limits are usually running on a sunday into monday. Any help would be appreciated.

if you figure out a way to get a box let me know. i'm a lowly 2-5nl player, but come several times a month and don't like carrying cash with me especially when i want to play 5-10.

Academy is good for NYC-AC and back. Every one hour (or even more often) from Port Authoruty to AC and return once an hour from one of the casinos (not to / from Borgata nor Harrahs though so you may have to take the Jitney to / from the Borg to some other casino).

I have taken about 30 trips to AC (back and forth i.e. total of 60 bus trips). Found Academy to be very reliable (no delays /cancellations) and generally safe.

No Wifi though.

NYC-AC and back costs $35 and casinos provide $20-25 in slot playing coupons upon arrival. Upon arrival, announcer will announce that return bus is scheduled for a specific hour but for your return (AC-NYC), you can take ANY bus back for the next day or two (check expiry on the ticket).

Not sure what the deal is for AC-NYC and / or one way trips. May not be as attractive.

i have used academy for the last several months from manhattan to AC. the buses do have wifi now. i never felt unsafe at all on any of them. walking to the jitney is more dangerous imo.

I dunno how I DON'T have room comps for every day in November. I earned like 3K comp $ on this card and I've only had it for 2.5 months.

I hate how borgata factors in your overall win/loss so much into comps, since I always have a huge win.

Are you sure they are taking that into account? I know someone who once won a ton playing high limit baccarat, and they gave him tons of comps, I assume hoping he would lose it back.

If you are making smaller regular wins at table games, how do they know how much you are winning anyway?

Well if the guy was playing a few thousand a hand, he got comped less then if he lost, but it'd still be a lot.

I'm only a mid stakes player. Probably an average bet of around 200-300.

And the casino tracks your cumulative win/loss. You know how the floorperson punches in your buy in/amount you color up into the computer when you play? They keep all that info...

I had a host tell me straight up I was being denied for a comp because of my huge lifetime win.

Tried searching this thread for this answer but Borgata runs so many tournament series that it is hard to tell. The tournaments on Saturday's at Borgata draw how many runners on average?

Sat 11AM $150+$30
Sat 6PM $300+$40

I'm going to probably play one of them. Can people give me a rough estimate? Last time I played the 11AM there were like 125 - 140 runners if memory serves me correctly.

Why color up when you leave then? You shouldn't have to do so. Or pocket a few chips now and then, and then color up. No way they can keep track of every bet.

finally making my return to Borgata for black friday next month. Looking forward to it.

I'm thinking the friday re-entry is going to be sick. If they end up doing a special series that weekend, even more sick.

Bringing down 3 donators with me.

Occupy Borgata.

I've used Academy for the past few years and never had an issue either. One tip though - for the return trip, the buses do fill up. I often take the 12:30 pm bus back that leaves from Trump Plaza and if you don't get there at least 30 minutes early and line up outside (i.e. do not wait inside the bus terminal), you may not get on the bus.

I was recently told that Greyhound has more buses and gives the same casino bonus, so the price is comparable. I may give them a try next time.

Greyhound raised their prices recently. I think it costs $37 if you buy a ticket before 5PM on a Friday, and $40 after 5 PM on Friday. I assume the $40 price also applies to Saturday.

Ratholing > $1000 in a shift is nearly impossible. My EV is around $1000 a shift, which means I'd have to hide nearly 2 full stacks of green just to appear to be a breakeven player, let alone to show a loss. You can't rathole black chips most of the time. (they'll credit you with them because they track them)

Trust me, if simply not coloring up and walking with all your chips resulted in them putting down 0 for your win/loss I would do that every time. It doesn't work that way though

So why doesn't the Borgata have direct bus service? Catering to a different crowd?
