I called the Borgata last week...all they had left were Water Club rooms at $420+/night for this weekend. Only thing in the Borgata itself that was available for this weekend was handicapped accessible rooms.

It may be expensive, but the Bayview or Waterfront rooms at Harrah's (a short walk away) are comparable in quality to the Borg.

I was in a waterfront room a couple months ago and I wasn't that impressed. We could hear the couple in the adjacent room everytime they banged...lol.

Someday I will go to the borg but it's tough with all these comped Harrah's rooms.

If I come to AC in the winter I stay at Harrahs and never feel like going over there. If it is summer I'm on the boardwalk and it's not really convenient because my gf doesn't like to gamble much so I have to keep her happy too.

I get comped rooms at every harrah's prop and all we ever play is BJ, she hits some slots, and I play a little poker but not much because of her. If I go to the borg and play some $15-25 hand bj will i get offers sun-thurs?

Men playing in the woman only events is standard at the Borgata.

Stan,

The Borgata's website states that the daily tournaments are postponed until May 1, but it does not mention that for the Sit and Go's. Do you know if the Sit and Go's are still running during the spring open? If so, is tipping included for the Sit and Go's (the only reason I ask this is because I think I recall recently reading that the Borgata now automatically has a certain percentage of the entry fee go to the dealers for tipping?). I am not trying to be cheap; rather, I am trying to gather information due to not having played a Sit and Go at the Borgata before. Thanks.

Sit-n-go's are running and we do not take 3% from the sit-n-go prize pool.

Hi Stan,

How many people registered for Event 31? What was the top prize?

I am thinking of driving down there today. How long will the registration be open for the 7:00 PM Event (Event #33)?

Thanks,
GolfPro

Do you have the right to enter the 'ladies only' tournament? Yes. Are you a dbag for doing so? Yes.

Bottom line, gender discrimination is dumb, and in an equitable poker universe, there would be no such thing as ladies' tournaments. That said, one of the last frontiers of growth in the business is encouraging women to play. And you're spitting in the face of that progress, for what? *****s and giggles? Why? What are you trying to prove?

Google Abraham Korotki, the (male) winner of one of last year's Borgata ladies' tournaments, to see how well he was received. He was a genuine dbag, needling the women on his way to victory, further alienating many who may have been just getting their feet wet in tournament poker. Nicole Rowe, the second place finisher, has breast cancer and was scheduled to undergo a double mastectomy not long after the event. Though Korotki feebly mentioned he might donate some winnings to breast cancer research, how do you think Rowe felt about Korotki after the event?

Is it worth the venom that will be spewed at you for playing the event, turning off players who may otherwise enjoy it and put money into the poker economy in the future just to get some kicks?
