No way to really answer this question. We have games that last maybe an hour and the next day it will go for three days.

I think I asked this before but what are the usual stack sizes in the PLO game? 500 a standard buy-in? I want to know what I should budget for a shot at this game too. Just for fun not for grinding obv.
It really doesn't matter what you buy in for. Short buy works for me-I prefer to do the "get majority of my stack in with AA" at least once and then play with other people's money. How nice is it to buy-in for $100, then cash out $1500+? OK, ok, I usually have to go through 3-4 $100 buy-ins to get rolling but the cashing out $1500+ happens often enough.

Most folks buy in for $300 or $500. So a budget of $500-$600 split into one or multiple buy-ins should work for whatever style you play.

And typically there will be several deep stacks. During this weekend's marathon, there were multiple $1500+ stacks. I remember two people cashing out for over $3200. One of the deep stacks got felted though (in a quick series of uber-tilting hands) and that broke the game.

My experience the past five weeks:

Mondays and Tuesdays suck for PLO. I think I've seen it go for maybe a total of 6 hours over five weeks. Majority of it, short-handed. (Except for this past weekend's marathon that went to Mon 11AM)

You had the hello kitty card cover?

I think you were two to my left for most of the game. I was in it from 9:30 Sat night til 4pm Sunday. It went on another 24 hours....sick.

I know I doubled you up once for like 325 when I hit a wrap and you hit a flush on the river.

I agree with you though. A player can buy in short and just get it in early or you can buy in deeper. I bought in for $400, ran it to $3,150 before eventually cashing like $2,400.

It def can be a volatile game. One guy (Phils hat and glasses) bought in for $200...ran it to $1,500....down to $350....back to $1,200....bust. Rebuy for $200 and started the same process. This happened like 3 or 4 times.

Heh. I remember that hand. Turn 4, giving you the 85 nut straight. And then a 4s to bring in the full house/flush draw to make my hand with whatever I could have pushed the flop with. Can't remember the face though. Never do. So don't let my inevitable blank look of inrecognition get to you.

You had a flush draw and overpair on the flop. QQAX....AX of spades. I had the nuts with no spade redraw....and yes, I know you'd always like to have a redraw...but I was putting like $150 more into what would be a $650 pot so I had to take the chance of fading a spade.

It was a very typical PLO hand.

You going to be there Tomorrow night or Friday?

Ah, that hand.

*blank expression on my face - sounds familiar (as you said, typical PLO hand) but can't place the specific action, time, etc

I'll probably be by late Friday through Monday. Make sure to point yourself out to me if we're at the same table. Not so necessary if you happen to be standing in the next stall to me in the bathroom.

Ok, no matter what I am coming down this weekend and I want to play with pick chips, what games do you think they will be playing pink this weekend. Although I play a lot of different games online I've only played NLHE (limit and no limit) live.

Should be none if im understanding the new rules correctly. No more pink omaha so they protect the 10-20, and then by the same token, there shouldnt be any pink holdem because of the 10-20 limit games.

From what ive been told, they will not spread pink o8.
I think its been mentioned in this thread, but i cant recall.
If the information ive been given is correct, it would make sense that pink holdem will not be spread either.

They just had a half hold'em half O8 running Sat...5 days ago.....3 of them actually.

I think those rules (if they are true are for during the week). The pink games generally only run w/e's anyway.

The only thing I have seen Stan post on here is that the 10/20 OE game will permanently be an OE game (1 hour Omaha 8, 30 minutes Stud 8). If anything, this would seem to indicate they would promote a pink or 10/20 Omaha 8 only game so that those that want to play Omaha only don't take up seats at the OE game and force them to play the stud round short handed when all the people that don't want to play stud walk for that round.

I think the actual "rule" (based on various podium interactions and some understanding of why games are started) is that they won't start a PC O8 if there is a 10/20 O8 going. Short of there being a massive list of interest for the PC version.

But the other PC variants (H and HO) will run as long as there are enough people on the list. I don't think there is nearly as much concern of impacting the standard 10/20 holdem game.

From what I've seen the past few weekends, there's a good chance of PC HO, a smaller chance of PC H, and a much smaller chance of PC O8. But hey, if we all went and requested PCO8 (with maybe a "random" run-in with Stan to request it) they would probably accommodate it regardless of the circumstances. Unfortunately for me, I can't "run-in" to Stan because I have no idea who he is (even after 5 years at the Borgata) and I can't even get PMs replied to.

Did anyone receive their parking pass for January yet?

It's my first time getting this offer, so I'm not exactly sure how it works...do I just show them my card when I leave the garage? Thanks in advance!

Most 2 + 2er's will go to one of the podiums and ask for me. Then, I will go to the podium where we will meet. It works because i have done it a thousand times. What doesn't work, is for me to go to everytable and ask "esch is that you?"

The parking attendant will want to see the parking pass and your ID.
