...Saturday Bravo Report...

played for about 2.5 hours between 2 pm and 5pm today,
helped start about four games,
should have an extra 4 to 6 comps, but
don't, as the Bravo system was down...it is pretty
clear the dealers were unable to clock us in,
and unclear
that the floor knew what to do, and at some point the
system was re-booted...am i just out 4 to 6 comps?
things were quite unclear as most of the time we did not
even register as guests though in all four games I played
in we were ten handed or close to ten handed...i imagine
this may have affected about 100 players, if you were
in the system (clocked in), prior to the break (computer failure), you are probably okay,
but if you helped open games while the system was down...

you wont get back your comps, it happened to me twice, i reported it, they said they will fix it but nothing happened

will high stakes games be running during the week the way the are now due to all the tourney players?

what time do the mid/high lhe games start on sunday?

Can an iPad be used too in the room?

if the game isn't going from the night before. I would say by 12-1 you can see 20-40 and 40-80 starting

I understand that there are different levels of black card tiering. About how many hours a month of 5/10 do I need to be playing to get 4 nights a week comped? Is it not possible without a host and/or playing in the pit?

I have never heard of different levels of black cards. I believe if you want to get more than 2 nights a week comped you just need to ask the poker room manager or one of the high limit poker hosts and see if they can help you out.

All kidding aside, most likely by Friday and def by Saturday if it doesn't hit.

It's an internal tiering structure. Not all black card holders are equal in their system.

I usually play Parx everyday but I spent the last week at the Borgata playing 5/10 as the games have been pretty good because of the tournaments. I've been crashing on friend's floors and getting an extra night of my own room would be nice. Thanks for the tip.

Can someone tell me how many hours they played in total at poker room before they started getting the 2 rooms comp a week offer?

I can't tell you exactly, but I know someone who put in two sessions of 10/20 limit and started getting offers.

Ballpark? 15 hours of 1/2 NL over 2 sessions and I was getting offered 2 nights a week from Sun-Thurs.

happens very quickly, the Borgata is excellent at bringing in new players, which gives them a significant competitive edge over all other AC poker venues. Your offers vary depending on the game and the time you play. 2-4 lhe is at the bottom. once you start paying time or playing 10-20 and up, you start to see very nice offers, the Borgata has three people in the poker room who help out players w/rooms, Borgata cards, and such, so if you are new and need help, be in touch with one of them, they include Stan who can be reached at

just got back from a great weekend for poker - the tournament definitely brought in a lot of action - several PLO games going which were fun.

also, the new renovated rooms are fantastic. one funny thing i noticed: the old TVs used to have a couple Chinese channels in addition to english. Now the Chinese channels have been replaced with Spanish.
